Absolutely worth the visit! Make it one of your last experiences as it is SO creepy. The museum consists of a winding series of static displays of (mostly) humanoid monsters that will give you chills! It took us approximately 20 minutes, but you could certainly take your time and read every display plaque and discuss all the movies with your company as you walk through. You will NOT be disappointed. It is NOT a "haunted house". The displays are static and there are no animatronics. To be honest, we decided that if there were any exhibits that moved, we would have lost control of our bowels! It was exceptionally creepy! No photos or video allowed and no touching of the exhibits. Well worth the price of admission!!! A+

Was only 13 bucks .if you read all the tags it will be longer but you can get through it in 15 min cool wax figures of all the monster movies and autographs from stars to owners.. no pics allowed inside only in lobby. Look at the eyes they are spooky!

Worth every penny. Not only for the amazing sculptures, themes, but mainly I loved the life casts. The space was so much fun to learn and explore and the gift shop has a ton of merch.

Yes it's true that in a world centered around selfies you are not allowed to take photos in the museum, and yes they are very strict about it. That being said, the wax figures are extremely well done. The ambiance is effectively spooky with mood lighting and creepy music. The path through the museum is tight and well done to allow you a surprise around each corner. If you like horror movies, this is a must see. I was the only one in the museum on this particular off-peak time of day, and I spent almost 45 minutes in there.

Questions & Answers

Is this too scary for kids 10 and under?

I would say if your kids have seen horror movies and are okay with them then they should be fine if they are mature enough to know it's all fake. The wax figures here are VERY well made and realistic looking so keep that in mind. I took my 3 year old niece there and she was really scared and cried so definitely too scary for younger children.
