Our regular mechanic has been swamped, so David called Mavis. We haven’t had much work done by the team; however, we have taken our car there a couple of times. Once, to have our brakes looked at: Our dealership told us we needed new brakes and wanted $1,400! David called Mavis and they had him come right down and were going to be able to do them for half the cost at N$E VW. One of the techs looked and showed David that they were fine. Had more than enough pad life and the rotors were okay, too. Since we didn’t give them brake business, we were going to buy new tires. The staff was super helpful in trying to locate the exact tires David asked for. Through no fault of Mavis, the tires are out of stock everywhere. We, sadly, got overpriced dirty, garbage tires from our dealer service. After we got the tires, we were hearing a noise in the front end. We took it back to the dealer and they checked it and drove it around and found nothing wrong with it. So, we called Mavis the next day and they had us bring it right down. I asked them to change the brakes because we thought that was the problem. I got home and a very short time later, Vito called and said it was ready. All that was wrong was dust cover clanking. Long story short, they have been fantastic for us. We intend to call today because, since having it at the dealership for a tie rod end repair yesterday, today, there IS something wrong with the brakes!!! If you’re looking for a kind, honest shop…choose the team at Mavis!
