Always are behind and even with an appointment you are waiting for a hour. It’s also dumb that it is only open Monday and Tuesday. Do better DMV.

I went to take a road test after practicing for hour every day and I had a test scheduled for 9. Turns out it's first come first serve so the appointment I scheduled was essentially useless because I was waiting for and roughly an hour+ decpite showing up 20 to 15 minutes early. When I finally get to my test the instructor conducting the exam would mark me for ever single little thing, it was clear he wasn't look for good he was looking for perfection. Every person who took the test before me also failed and I find it hard to believe that it was the drivers fault especially after experiencing the instructor first hand. I do not recommend this place they are extremely slow, there hours aren't posted anywhere, when you make an appointment expect to be waiting at least another hour, and overall just a mess of a DMV.

My experience with the Vermont DMV interactions has not always been pleasant. However, I was impressed with the speed, courtesy, friendliness, and competence I observed today when renewing a driver license. Having recently moved, I feared demands for additional documentation or other complications. No problems: we got the ticket for the queue which was instantly called up. The man who waited on us was professional and prompt. Thanks!

You can call and ask if a license is valid. You need the license number, we can tell you "yes" or "no" as to it being valid. For anything more than that you need permission of the license holder.
