Roger was an absolute delight - quick, funny, kind! He was so patient while we got all of our forms and documents in order for multiple out of state transfers. Usually I dread these visits and he really made it, dare I say….. FUN?!

Made an appt 4 days prior . When I arrived and checked in the girl at the counter said I didn't have an appt . So I had to go back to my car to get my phone to show my confirmation . Unfortunately I must have deleted it . It wasn't there . So I told her and basically she spoke to me like I was a moran . I mentioned that I wasn't going to drive from Dorset to Montpelier without an appt . She then looks at my paperwork to title register a car and said she would give me a stand by number / ticket stating she had no promise how long . After getting to the counter the fella at the window (#3) told me I needed another form filled out . This after being told in Rutland what I needed and then told I had to make an appt in Montpelier .
The guy in front of me had no appt came from out of state and the young lady at the check in counter explained what he needed to do filled out his forms then had him sign them and give them back to her and she processed them .
Me ? I have to go back . So my experience was not very good .
Not to mention why in the world are we still going to Montpelier to get certain things handled ? Each DMV branch should be able to handle any DMV issue or need .

Montpelier DMV rarely answers either... sometimes if thet do, they then hang up on you. Its ridiculous.
I have an enhanced drivers license and just realized it will be expiring next week. Never did receive a notice in the mail. If I drove to Montpelier this afternoon, is there anything I need to bring besides my current license?

This is old, I'm sure, but for future reference and for people not sure: You need to bring nothing except your current license, if no information is changing on your license. However, a new ENHANCED driver's license will take up to two weeks to be issued, as it arrives in the mail and is not issued immediately. DMV will issue you a temporary license that you can use to drive, but the temporary license will not be valid for crossing the border. This information only applies to enhanced driver's licenses.
owners are required to sign for a replacement title. If appearing in person, the "Personal Delivery of Title" (form VT-016) must be completed and signed by ALL titled owners.

Why does Vermont issue the second license plate for the front of the vehicle? Any and all police will come from behind to run the plate never from the front of the vehicle. Would be a 50% savings for the state to issue just one

You need to get forms from dmv or local town clerks/police barracks and have your doctor fill out the forms stating why you need permits and then send them in and they will either accept the forms or deny.
