it's a Homeless shelter you have to pay for, and its bed bug/Lice infested. The people running the program should be ashamed of the living conditions, they even made the local news for it being so disgusting. And I had to Pay alot of money after I moved to get professional bed bug treatment/removal. Worst experience of my life.

If I could rate zero stars I would. Jeremy falsely advertises this as a “12 step program” which it is absolutely NOT!! A 12 step program consists of AA and or NA meetings EVERYDAY and church on Sundays. This place has one AA a week and one NA a week then the other days except Wednesday and Sunday you go to a bible study that is usually led by one of the residents strung out on drugs that really doesn’t want to stay clean to begin with. On top of that, they steal your food stamps and tell you it’s to feed the residents, when I’m reality they get so many donations in they don’t even need the food stamps to feed the residents. They work you for a slave labor of 3 dollars per hour, and they won’t allow you to go out and find your own job. Also, with the exception of Mike Farmer who seems to be the only staff member who is truly a man of God, they won’t allow you to go to AA or NA meetings on your own since they won’t take you to them, which is very dangerous for an addicts recovery. Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing because that’s what this place is run by.

The place can be good but the so called house supervisor Keith, this guy is dangerously arrogant. No one need to be paying his money to be disrespected by a person that called himself a Christian, the man inviting you to church to a connection with God while his soul is loss 🙏. Keith you need to learn how to speak. Tell Steve he needs a shower.

I have been a part of New Beginnings for about 6 years now. When I first got here I was in need of a lot of help. I found that help here an NBT. One of the first people I met was Jeremy Bowen, he had a smiling face and he tried hard to make me feel at home, and at that time he was just a client. I have now been part of the staff for about 5 1/2 years. One of my biggest rewards is to see a client when he first comes in, all broken and battered, and them see them once they complete the program, confident, employed, God faring, and in great health. Some have even reunited with their families. It is really cool to see. Not only do I love NBT, Pastor Tom and the entire NBT family, but I also now love myself. Every good thing that has happen to me or to someone I follow thru the program, is all thanks to Pastor Tom, Miss Ginny and of course New Beginnings of Tampa itself! Thank you!
