It’s unfortunately gone downhill since I moved here two years ago. Rent raised almost 13% with about a 2 week notice so there’s really no way to find another place in a timely and realistic manner. Maintenance used to be out and about everyday cleaning the community and now they’re barely to be seen outside maintaining the property. I’ve had trash in my little bin for over 2 months because we do have people who decide to dump their trash anywhere and maintenance will purposely leave it there. I’ve informed them of large bee infestations and nests and still no changes, they’re still there. I’m sure I’m not the only person who still has noticed a lot of trash bags and other nonsense in the trees ALL over the neighborhood since the roofing company “fixed” the roofs months ago now. It’s almost impossible to get in contact with the property manager, they never call back and the leasing office won’t give out their number as if it’s some sort of secret. I should be able to speak directly to those who “manage” the property considering I live here. I will continue to say there are a select few at the leasing office who still are kind and will listen, Gerry being one of them, but the property really leaves much to be desired especially with crime rising around the area.

Terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible that’s all I have to say about Cagan Crossings. If you get an apartment there your AC will definitely break within the first couple of weeks don’t rely on maintenance to come right away and fix the issue on 100° day they won’t come probably until tomorrow and when they do come they don’t even fix the issue they put a little bit more freon acting like that’s the only problem not only the AC you can hear cussing through the walls from other families filthy disgusting language I can’t wait till my lease is up next month I can’t wait to get out of this terrible apartment complex please when you guys do your research on places look at the comments you can see the Cagan is Trash.

Opportunity One

We’ve been here for years, we’re soon on 10 years! We love Cagan Crossings… or should I say loved. Let me explain. First the good. In my opinion it’s the most convenient place to live in Florida and I’ve lived all across the state. Everything, I mean any and everything you can think of is within 2 miles. Beautiful mornings here and an awesome breeze always seems to comes through. The neighborhood has enjoyed relative peace and quite since we’ve been here but unfortunately things are beginning to change. In an attempt to fill in vacancies, I believe the office has gone past standards and let in folks who really shouldn’t qualify to possess a lease here. The community has an increased population of African Americans now and they are not of the decent class. For the first time ever, we had a shooting and killing at one of the apartments between a resident and a someone he knew. That’s all we know. By the way he shot him 6 times in the hallway. African American. Again we’ve enjoyed a peaceful and quite neighborhood for as long as I’ve been here. Now I have an African American couple of the streets that live below me and they argue, as you can imagine, for the whole building to hear using the most filthy language. I mean this place is getting really undesirable to live in and we are considering moving to apartments nearby that have stricter lease approval protocol. It is evident they have sacrificed quality of tenant for a lease signed and it is doing them more than damage than they can imagine. Many of my neighbors feel the same. My advice to management is the reputation and safety of this community is more important than getting your units filled. People move here everyday. If you don’t get the unit filled today, there’s always tomorrow. Don’t compromise on the quality of tenant!
