They have a military discount and it’s $15 per. If you have kids, they could qualify for a student discount as well. There is soooo much to do so take and plan for at least 2-3 hours. They do have a coffee shop with eateries. Four stories with everything you need to immerse yourself in understanding the indigenous people of Alaska. Listen/see through the lens of the artist as they tell you their story. I would do this first so that it may help with appreciating the land, people, culture, nature, and beauty as you navigate through each landscape.

A true gem in the heart of Alaska’s largest city. I unexpectedly got in for free with my Bank of America credit card as cardholders gain free access on the first weekend of each month through the “Museums On Us” program. Bring a quarter to use their lockers to keep all your layers and snacks. If you want to experience the entire museum you’ll need 4-5 hours. Great temporary exhibits that complement their permanent collection right now. Great day inside on a very cold, windy winter day

Very very large museum, took me and my grandpa almost 3 hours to see it all. But it is very cool, we got to do the death on the ice tour as well. And it was very cool. Highly recommend.

One of the more culturally and globally aware museums with carefully curated galleries and exhibits that speak to the planet as much as they speak to our shared histories as human beings. Sometimes micro focused on Anchorage and Alaska, other times macro focused on climate change and globalization, the Anchorage Museum provides densely woven tapestries of the art, history, images, and ideas that make up the world in which we all live — and then invites you to pull on any number of threads to examine the individual strands more closely. It was thrilling experience for our family of four, ages 12-46.

I don't believe I have seen those photos in the Museum
You do not need a museum ticket to eat at the Muse cafe. It is on the ground floor at the main entrance but located right before the paid section of the museum
I'm not sure. Call them.
You can easily spend 3-4 hours there, especially with the consideration of the Smithsonian section! There's a docent tour of the Alaska section which I would highly recommend. Times change but the tour that I took was at 1pm. We visited in the morning around 10:30am but had to go back after lunch as we really wanted to study the incredible Smithsonian section.
No clue
The Alaska Aviation Museum does have a simulator.
Street parking is free on the weekends... during the week there is no free parking that I know of downtown
Yes
I would call them how many exhibitions are open. Some were closed after the November earthquake, and some can be closed for installation of new ones.
Current EXHIBITIONS: UNSETTLED INHERITANCE: MAKERS. MEMORY. MYTH. MAKTAK AND GASOLINE: THE PEOPLE OF POINT HOPE POINTS Of VIEW: PERSERVERANCE CRUSIN' THE FOSSILE COASTLINE.
I used to work at the Museum. They are only closed thanksgiving and Christmas. They will be open. I think their Sunday hours are 12-6.
Find a gallery to represent you. Go and visit the galleries around Anchorage, meet the owners and see who the represent. This should give you an idea if they are right for you.
