First change the name to, Dont give a Damn about Elders or there Affairs... My Mother with Alzheimers got Scabies in Oct at Pacificia Memory Care facility. After a month of her suffering I filed a complaint talk to Rep. she did a review never heard back but the aid at Pacifica questioned my Sister asking if she filed a complaint. Mother was treated so many times M.P " believed it caused her to have seizure" So here we are in January Mom Left Pacifica Mid Dec going to hosp still with sores from where Scabbies burrowed under the skin to leg eggs etc left M.P Hosp with Scabbies Rash eggs hatched took her to her new facility and on to a better Hosp. Where a real Dr cared about her. I Called Dept of dont care about Elder or there Affairs they refused to take a report. I said "if she was in this condition at somebodies home somebody would be going to jail" The rep said "your. right" I got my Scabbies education from the CDC cant say the same for Morton Plant, Pacifica, and a big waste of community Service and Money PACE. My Mother has been severly Neglected she is and has suffered terribly with Scabies, She is severly MalNourished, and Dept. Of Elder Affairs would not take the time to even check on her. A dog gets better treatment. You didnt care enough in Oct to finish an investigation and You Dont care now. They simply do not Care! It is a Damn Shame Elderly People have no representation from the places that are supposed to help protect them. Look People I am doing this because I am sick and tired of Elder neglect and abuse. I dont want other Elderly people to be mistreated anymore. The truth of the matter is There are not now, nor have there been Standards not for years. NOBODY HAS STANDARDS not the Facilities, Not the Hospitals Not Pace and Not Dep of Dont Care about your Elder, Not Hospitalist not some Drs not Nurses and not the Aides they stay on there phone texting while folks are sitting or laying in there own excrement. Nobody takes pride in there job or in there commitment to help the less fortunate Your a disgrace to the people your supposed to represent and protect. Come on People, Do Your Job, get some STANDARDS and try caring about these Elderly People who in many cases only have your voice to protect them. If you dont who will?? Did you forgot how????
