Original Italian Pizza in Montrose is such a pleasant place to eat. The pizza is excellent, and the menu offers many Italian specialties as well as a variety of American dishes. Loaves of delicious bread are baked here and served with meals, or split in two to make buns for hot and cold subs/hoagies. The cooks and servers have always been friendly and efficient. While I miss their iconic former building, a Victorian doctor's home, Original Italian Pizza is still a great place to order takeout or dine in.

I am so disappointed with the food. I used to love going here for a nice slice of pizza. The last time I came here I ordered a pizza with wings. The pizza sauce is so watery… I don’t know if Originals is freezing the tomato sauce then defrosting it at a later time…. The Buffalo wings were also so watery… The pizza itself aside from the tomato sauce was good. I really hope they change whatever they are doing and go back to how they were before.

The location burned down, and they have relocated more in town. While the new location is more like a basic pizzeria in appearance, the food is still wonderful. The pizza was delicious. The restaurant is quite busy with take out.

Eggplant parmesan is excellent, there fresh baked bread us to die for and there salad that comes with it is plenty. You will never leave there hungry. Atmosphere is clean and bright and the prices are very reasonable.
