I have always liked the Arcadia Arboretum and especially the peacocks. Our son recently gave us a membership so that we can go year round. The grounds are great although it is a little early for the rose garden. Everything is in a great variety. The normal entry $15 charge is very reasonable and the memberships quickly pay for themselves.

Such an amazing place for a walk with family or the loved one.
Every inches of the garden is a beauty.
It took us almost an hour to drive from home but it was nothing after we entered the garden.
Loves the Peacocks "the guardian of the doors", LOL.
Tips:
- wear comfortable shoes
- buy tickets online!!

Not as cultivated or luscious as the other gardens in the area but still a lovely place to sit on a bench under a giant tree and forget about the world for awhile. Very peaceful and uplifting. Peacocks are a plenty. Be sure to bring a bottle of water because there’s hours and hours worth of paths for strolling and exploring.

Even when going in the winter, this place is great! There are a lot of rare plants and trees, peacocks, and places to sit down and marvel at the nature all around you. If you really love nature, and you are in the area, this is where you should go. There are also event venues hosted regularly, if you want to party, and countless historical places throughout the entire park. Visit it for yourself and have fun.

yes. you need to get the free tickets online on 1st of that month at 9am.
I have seen others enjoy a picnic together. Not sure if it's been 8 or more people, but if you are all together, I cannot forsee it being a problem. There are plenty of open grassy areas to enjoy a meal together and even social distance, if needed. :) Bon Appétit!
There are two lots. The weekends are busy. You may have to walk a long way from where you park. Come early if you have guests who may need a closer spot.

Cindy Smith | Aug 23, 2021
Sorry. I don't know. You would have to call and ask them, but I do know that they have a free entry day once a month. It may be the 2nd Tuesday of the month, but, again, I recommend you call them to make sure.
Do you have any free admission days?
Linda Richardson | Aug 23, 2021
Joshua Maddux | Aug 23, 2021
Yes they do.
From their website “Free day at the Arboretum is the third Tuesday of each month. The tickets are free but limited in order to ensure social distancing. Tickets must be reserved in advance online and will be available at 9:00 am July 1 for Free Day on July 20. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.”
If you are buying a ticket yes you do. You select the date and time that you want to go.
However, if you have a membership you can just show up.
This info is from their website and my personal experience as of June 9th 2021.
I will be driving a small class-c motorhome. Will I be able to find parking?
Judy Ritner | Aug 23, 2021
Mrs. Cessy | Aug 23, 2021
Probably not. I drive a mini van and it's always hard to find parking. The parking spaces are very compact and almost always full. This is unsolicitated but before you go it would be good to call or buy your ticket in advance because if they get full they will only let pass members in. Hope this helps. :) You will love it's beautiful.

Yes, as well as Fantasy Island
Is there fall foliage at LA Arboretum at this time? Thanks
Snacks are allowed, you cannot feed the birds or other wildlife on the grounds and please be mindful of your trash. It is currently peacock mating season, so as long as you don't interfere with their thing - it's all good. There are plenty of shaded benches, shaded areas and lakeside trails you can take to just sit and enjoy the views.

Seniors age 62 and older: $6.00
Children Ages 5-12: $4.00

On the page it only says that Christmas day could affect these hours. 10 am to 4.30 pm, but does not say that it is closed. Better call on the phone. Merry Christmas
Today it costs $ 9 for adults, $ 4 for children 5 to 12 years old, free for children under 5 years. If you go tomorrow, it's a free day, but you may still need tickets.
If you can get there earlier than 5pm, you will get to enjoy a little more than just the lights. I want to mention the Victorian house is closed for renovations. The carriage house, rose garden and everything else is open. Enjoy a day at the Arboretum 🙂
I was there last month, and fall was most definitely the theme!!! Such a beautiful place!! They have light festival going on right now, looked interesting!! Although it was not set up yet!!
Went for event work not a tour, really don't know.

Free Tuesday.... Google and find places to plan on next month.
However I would spend the $9 and come on another day where you can really have more time alone and appreciate the gardens much much much more than a free day!
Wheelchairs are available to rent for $10 non-members and $5 for members on a first-come, first-served basis at the Garden and Gift Shop. Reservations are not accepted. An ID must be left with Gift Shop. The last wheelchair rental of the day is at 2:30pm. All wheelchairs must be returned to the Gift Shop by 4pm.
$6 for seniors 62 and up; $4 for kids 5 to 12; under 5 are free. Adults are $9. The visit is worth it. We went early on a weekday Attached a link: https://www.arboretum.org/visit/hours-and-admission/
