Snacks are allowed, you cannot feed the birds or other wildlife on the grounds and please be mindful of your trash. It is currently peacock mating season, so as long as you don't interfere with their thing - it's all good. There are plenty of shaded benches, shaded areas and lakeside trails you can take to just sit and enjoy the views.
Yes but please remember the arboretum is only open to guests who purchase tickets online beforehand or members only for now. There's also a small cafe to pickup small eats. Make sure to bring water and sunscreen! Enjoy!

Yes you can, we've done it many times and just had a small picnic.
I would say a very small picnic. We saw a a couple of couples having snacks on the grounds.
