I can't really give it 5 stars as I've actually never used it. It sits on the Montour, and I really enjoy this section of the trail - from the old train tunnel to valley brook.

5 free nice primitive campsites along the trail. 4 connect to eachother. Some road noise until 10pm or so. Being on the other side of the parking lot and trail muffled the noise. Not too bad.... Note: the trail is VERY ACTIVE! Thursday morning at 6am people were already walking/riding past and the campsites are close to the trail. Fairly flat for tent campers. Spot 5 has a pavilion to get out of the rain or to camp in I assume. I didn't see a hammock area (see Boggs Campsite for that) Free firewood in 2 locations. Perfect camp spot to relax and refresh between bike rides.

Great place to camp for a night. Least it was and had been for years till the local cops started getting bored & began to start harassing people camping at the designated sites/in their cars when weather turned bad. They’ve got no reason and nothing better to do. These “officers” need to get their priorities in line. I’ll be coming back. Been doing so for years. No tyrants will stop me from camping where I’m allowed to. Glad my taxes are paying their paychecks just to boot people out of parks they’re-allowed to be in.

I belive if the site is open, you just set up your tent. I rarely see anyone using the camp sites. They look nice and there is a port a john available.

Hi David. They have designated sites. It can be quite residential in spots so I would think you had better stick to the camp sites.
