Excellent adventure. The Capt really worked the ocean. Saw humpbacks, minke whales, a baby sun fish, seals sea otters, sea lions. Crew was very friendly and having a marine biologist on board narrating what we saw was incredible. Very eager to answer questions too. Don't look at any other. This is the longest cruise and the best.

I spent my whole life landlocked. It wasn’t until I was in my 50’s that my sisters and I decided to take a whale watching trip with Monterey Bay Whale Watch. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and couldn’t wait to go out again. Next time, I brought my husband. I was sitting on the seats in front of the cockpit, all I could do is smile. It was cold and wet and it was amazing. The crew checked on me several times, to make sure I was okay. I guess not too many people would have been sitting there, not even my husband. I saw so much sea life from my seat and once we got out to where the action was happening….WOW! We saw Humpback whales everywhere, doing all sorts of stuff including sleeping, breaching and lunge feeding. We even saw a couple Blue whales My husband didn’t think he would enjoy it as much as he did but he still talks about it. This adventure is at the top of my list of things to do. I have been on it twice and I am hoping to do this trip again.

4 hours out of sea, please well prepared for sea sick and strong wind, cold weather. Have an good glasses to see clearly is better taking pictures, too fast and too shakable to take pictures on the boat down the sea. Anyway, it was awesome.

This is my second whale watching tour and I loved it! I will warn, you the water is rough and I have never gotten sea sick, even being on 20 plus boats in my life time thus far. Take not one but two motion sickness pills BEFORE you get on and have lots of ginger candies to suck on. About 50% of the people of the boat got sick. Besides getting sick, we saw orcas, humpbacks, otters, sea lions, jellyfish, and much more wildlife. I love seeing mammals in their own habitat. Very friendly and professional staff.

Went last week, saw 5 blue whales, 1 fin whale, and countless humpbacks. Went on the 3 hour evening tour at 530pm.
I also remember late fall but it's best to call the company.
39 for adult and 25 bellow 12 yrs old
Depends on the time of year and the temp of the water. We just went and we seen, 15 blue whales 3 humpbacks 3 different kind of dolphins, a ton of seals, jellyfish, otters, and a great white shark!
Go to MontereyBayWhaleWatch.com. And click on "Whale Watching Trips" near the bottom of the page. You should find the answers to your questions right there. I strongly recommend booking the first trip of the day.
there whales all year
We were there the first week of August 2017 and saw plenty of humpbacks and greys playing and feeding plus all manner of birds and dolphins.
Yes, bundle up, it was chilly last week. Usually about 10 degrees colder than the land temp. Take some sea-sickness medicine and hour before you go!
You definitely won't see many humpback whales but you will see a lot of others usually April through to December for humps and December through to mid April for all others, you'll be guaranteed to see hundreds of dolphins an other marine life. The guys on board will make it super fun and are full of facts!! Enjoy:)
According to their website, they will do 4 trips on Easter Sunday.
Summer is always better. Its too windy out there in the middle and you need the sun as much as possible.
Yes they say March April and May are the best times of course you can get four hour packages an 8-hour packages also
We saw 33 whales in just 4 hours in the morning.
Don't have an account.
All of them
It's the open air part of the boat that's upstairs. The view isn't constricted by windows/walls.
We stayed at the Monterey Bay Inn so it was a very short walk to go whale watching. Sorry I can't remember anything about parking other than our hotel.
Yes. Whale should be plenty.
We have been there in June and saw a lot of whales. But no Orcas.
There's no better time to go on a whale watch really, they don't care what time it is or what the weather's doing. Pick a time that's best for you and hope for the best!
I know spring season " april and may" are the best to watch killer whale in monterey bay. September is good to watch humpback whale.
The whales really like the sunshine they come out better when it's a hot sunny day when we where there it was dark and cloudy we saw very few and only maybe a tails so I guess really it's just if you got a nice sunny day.
As high as it gets. Did the tour three times in different period of the year and always saw whales or orcas or dolphins.
Yes been there with my kid when he was 2 months old, 11 months old and 2 years old. He personally liked only enjoyed it the last time, able to see the whales. Note that kids pay regardless of their age which I still find wrong when they don't even walk nor see anything
You want to hope it's a nice sunny day we didn't see much it was so cloudy they love to come out and jump around in the Sun
I'd say as early as possible...but worth it :)
I don't remember precisely but, I think it was $48 per person
I always get to see something different. I could see Orcas on my Jan 2018 trip
I booked online from their website. You can either do that or simply can call them.
Yes, December is a good time. Check the weather.
Ive never been there this late in the year, but that wouldn't stop me from going!! We aren't seeing much here in Southern California, water is toi warm.
Book online at their website. They have a couple trips. 3 hour morning. 3 hour afternoon. 10 hour day trips and 12 hour day trips. No matter which trip you take, you're likely to have the opportunity for amazing photos of whales, dolphins, sea lions, seals, otters, and sea birds, and possibly other marine animals.
Yes there is always something to see in the bay.
U park ur car in the fishermans wharf parking lot in the paid parking area. Where the yellow barricade is. Then go toward the far corner (towards the ocean)of the parking lot to park. There will be another pier that u walk down to monteray whale watch. Not to far. Maybe a half a block.
Morning did seem to be really good. They were up and about to bring to me a beautiful new sight. However going closer to winter I'd personally go in the afternoon. Warmer parts of the day for some people would seem to make for a better experience. I prefer low temperatures but, all people don't always have the same opinion as me.
Day or two maybe - peak season, works just fine.
It's pretty good. They have a schedule for the best time to watch, but because the water is so deep there they have whales that sometimes stay through the year
I saw a group of 6 orca in the middle December. It was quite cold though
Went in sep. Saw blue and grey whales. Sun fish. Great tour. Got to see a rare full breach of a grey whale.
We could just see one hump back whale in the whole 3 hr trip last week. Summer would be the best time!
Morning seems better. Got to see more whales in the morning both the times i visited and not many in the afternoon
