God forbid you try to return something here. 10% restocking fee for forgetting a cord, then having the audacity to claim I used the item? On Amazon they add a 10% restocking fee even if you returned the item unopened. Sounds a bit scummy if you ask me.

A great place to find the missing piece to your astronomical adventures! Here is why: 1) huge selection of unique items for telescopes, mounts, cameras, filters, etc. Competitive pricing 2) same day, curbside pickup on most in-stock items - one of only two retail operations providing this service in SOUTHERN CA. 3) in-depth technical knowledge of astronomy and astrophotogrsphy. 4) customer service that won't quit - recently I had to order, cancel and return 3 items over a two day period and they did not gripe. When an item price dropped two days after purchase at a higher price. They gave me equivalent store credit. SCOTT had the patience of Job-thank you. When I am 'under the gun' on a project I turn to AGENA ASTRO., and you should too.

Excellent store for astro products. I have placed multiple orders with them... they consistently ship out orders right away and are extremely responsive to any inquiries. Prices are consistent with other stores and I have found items here that were out of stock in other places. 5/5 stars for sure.

I bought my first pair of binoculars for birding from Agena. The buying experience was good but I did not like the binoculars. I did a lot of research prior to my purchase and thought I was getting what I wanted, but after I received them, they were just too heavy. Agena advertised a 30 day return so I felt comfortable purchasing from them. I emailed about exchanging them for a different binoculars and received an email back saying I could return them but there was a 30% restocking free and they would have to first be inspected for eyelash marks, etc. and then the return could be denied. In my experience, Agena is not a good company to purchase from unless you are sure of what you are purchasing. In today's online shopping space, there are many companies to purchase from whose business model accommodates the remote customer's need exchange something. In my experience, Agena is not such a company. A purchaser can buy any binocular or lens from Amazon or B & H and return for exchange without large fees. Not a good company to purchase from for someone new to the world of scopes and binoculars. I ended up keeping the binoculars because I wasn’t going to lose 30% and bought another pair from another company.

Please note that we are not a retail store. We are an e-commerce business with a local office/warehouse only. Customer curbside pickups are by appointment only during limited business hours. Orders must be placed in advance via our website and customers are not allowed into our office at this time. Customers must wear a facial mask as does our staff at the time of pickup. If you need additional information about our Covid19 safety protocols within our office/warehouse, please contact us directly via our website and we will be happy to reach out to you and discuss this further. Thank you.
We are an internet/e-commerce business only. We do not have a retail showroom or regular retail hours. Our office/warehouse is open and shipping daily. Because we do not list regular hours, Google has us incorrectly listed as 'temporarily closed.'
You will need to check with Celestron directly to see what they might suggest. We do not have the specs and connector info for such old scopes, and old parts like this are generally not available from dealers. You can find the contact info at celestron.com.
Any telescope can be used with today's mounts as long as you can find a suitable dovetail rail for the tube to attach it to the top of the mount. If your tube was fork-mounted, it will be a challenge to do so since it will be difficult to find a suitable rail matching the old bolt patterns on the bottom of the tube. If your scope already had a dovetail rail at the bottom along its length, there is a high chance that it is of the "Vixen/Synta" style, and many (but not all) mounts can accept that. One other option would be to find tube rings for the tube and then attach a mounting rail to the bottom of the rings. But for this, you will need to very, very carefully measure the tube diameter and find rings online. If you need additional assistance, feel free to contact us via our website (not Google) or check with other astronomy stores in the LA area (OC Telescope or Woodland Hills Camera & Telescope) as we are an online store only.
