Called in to extend my jury duty, the lady that answered the phone had a snooty tone. We are all people of this earth. How do these people function in society with a chip on their shoulder? Scary thought. This place deserves an audit.

The clerk in R8 is the rudest clerk I’ve ever met. Not helpful at all, lazy, and extremely passive aggressive. She needs proper training.

Am giving this place 3 stars. 3 stars because it's a common county Courthouse that accumulates extra tax dollars to keep our law abiding citizen's in their best performance, or else........!!!!!!!!! So i guess we need these reminders, but the places that i give (4 or 5 stars) are the places that i CHOOSE to go to joyfully on my free time or day off! I can assure you that there really isn't anything "cool or joyful" about this place... If your a writer or a journalist who has a thing for "broken dreams", this is for you. CLIFFNOTES: reminder to self! bring a white friend with me if i ever need to see the judge. Smile! The very best thing about this courthouse are the people outside who KNOW who really is in charge----- GOD! THE CREATER OF ALL THINGS! we tend to forget.

I was fired for reporting for jury duty, which is illegal for an employer to do in the state of California. I gave my employer a 1 month advance notice of my jury summons. The judge (Hon. Dan Deteienne) made it very clear that if any of the jurors were disciplined or fired by their employers for reporting for jury to let him know. I thought he would help me, instead he just excused me from jury duty completely this year without another word & with no help in getting my job back. I’m not protected by this law because I was temporary worker and temporary workers can be legally fired for attending jury duty - this was not written in communication documents from the courthouse or vocally expressed by any employee of the courthouse. Edit: this really ruined my resume..

Call the court clerks office at any courthouse and have them look it up. For the brave ones, ask any peace officer.
Your court date is on the bottom of your citation or other paperwork sent to you by the court or issuing agency. If you're still not sure, call the court clerks office and ask them.
You can ask for a payment plan or you can claim hardship & they might reduce or forgive the restitution. In the back of the fine theirs the address of where to go to apply for the hardship. Hope this helped.
Back open to the public.
Walk in and ask
No
No. All family law is done out of San Bernardino.
If it is just a misdemeanor and you have not posted bail then there is no need to show up. You do need to monitor the the online docket to see if they file after the initial court date.

You have to show up in front of the judge. Best if you have a lawyer or you'll be there all day in line.

Yes it is. There will be lines at both entrances depending on your situation they will I direct u to the correct line be patient with them as the lines tend to move around a lot but if u are in need of a public defender theres a special line for that near the main entrance and only the public defender will represent u as no one is allowed in the court house.

You could go to the counter and ask if their system is down go another day that the only recommendation I could give you
If you have a court appearance that starts at 8:30, I would arrive no later than 8:15. That gives you time to get thru security. If you just need to go to the public window, it's a hit or miss on any given day...

Most of the Courtrooms do not allow children into them with a few exceptions. Unless you have an adult to wait in the hallway with them, I would not bring him.
All he has to do is make sure he appears in court on his next court date and the assigned attorney will find him.
Go to the clerk's window and ask for you case to be heard by the judge.

You'll have to call the court and ask for the date. If they dont have it yet, keep checking back or call the agency who cited you.
