Zero stars. Target stores has opened up for over a year, and something more essential than the Public Library is semi closed -not to mention this central location. Ben Franklin is rolling in his grave. John, open up already!

Nice staff, very helpful. They did not have a book I needed so they ordered it for me from other location. 4 stars are for homeless people. It is a good thing that they spend their day there reading but unfortunately I can not stay there longer than 10 minutes picking a book because of the smell.

I'm glad that there's a library here in LA, but there's big population of homeless here as well. I was a little hesitant to stay longer but I already paid for parking...so I tried to stick here till traffic dies down a little. 15 min into my study I start to smell pungent odor...it was coming from my chair! And there's a lady a table over says "a stinky homeless guy sat there you know". Omg! Thanks for not telling me right away! There's a line for men's bathroom, seems like this is the go to place to refresh for the homeless. I am all for libraries but I don't think I'll stop here again..or I'll go sit at children's table next time. And note to others... don't sit at the tables by the men's bathroom.
