It’s a decent company that will go out there way to help you and return calls to you if you have any questions so far so good
It’s Vanessa Marie
Amica pays a maximum of $20 a day for rental when the minimum compact car for rent is $30+ a day for various rental companies and of coarse, the rental companies never have compact cars available. It’s never convenient to go through the process of getting your car repaired when it’s been in an accident but this insurance has made the experience even more inconvenient and difficult. Even the rental company said Amica low balls the rental maximum. I look forward to changing after all this is done.

I first moved to Amica for home and auto several years ago. Their pricing at the time was good. It isn't any more. I have most recently tried to add a newly acquired second home. It has been 5 months since I made the request and 45 days since I completed a process whereby I took pictures of the home as directed by its third party contractor. Still don't have a quote. I cannot get the first representative who was involved with this to reply to my emails and am presently on hold with first up phone rep for 20 minutes as he "reads the notes". (To they really read notes or is he just holding to have his supervisor consider the matter as he is not capable of responding.) Anyway. The service is awful. I will look for a new company as I think it would be awful to go through a claim with Amica. Look elsewhere.

I was trying to get an insurance quote for my vehicle and the lady I was speaking was so not polite. I only asked if I could cancel insurance at any time, and she came back to me with if I was going to cancel to just look for somewhere else . Also I was not able to get an effective policy till the next day which didn't make sense. I called another insurance company and my insurance was effective in that same minute. Lady was really disrespectful

Your policy has specific limits for rental reimbursement coverage. If you need to extend your rental period, you may be responsible for additional costs. If you are not at fault, you may be able to recover the additional expense from the at-fault party.
The purchase of a damage waiver, or additional insurance, is not covered under rental reimbursement coverage on your auto policy. It only waives your deductible. However, it is your choice whether or not to purchase this coverage from the rental agency.
Most policies have a $20 per day limit, up to $600 total, included in the collision and other than collision coverage. You may also purchase higher rental limits.
Your Amica auto policy extends the same coverage limits to a rental car, but in some cases you may need more coverage. There may be certain benefits to purchasing additional insurance, but please note that this may result in out-of-pocket expenses. Coverage for rental cars applies in U.S. territories only.
If the stolen items are permanently installed in the car and you have comprehensive (other than collision) coverage, the loss is covered under your auto policy. However, if the stolen property is something that you put in your car, such as CDs or a GPS, this is usually covered under a home policy, as part of your personal property coverage. Certain restrictions may apply.
The general rule is that insurance follows the car. For example, if you have an accident while driving someone else's car, that person’s insurance would apply first. Your auto insurance may provide coverage if the owner of the car did not have auto insurance or didn’t have enough coverage to pay for the damages. Exclusions may apply, so it’s best to contact us to discuss the specifics of the loss and determine possible coverage.
Collision coverage covers physical damage to your auto caused by a collision with another car or object. Comprehensive, which is also known as other than collision, covers physical damage to your auto, including fire, theft, vandalism and broken glass.
Hi Norma. Yes, Amica Insurance does write auto and home insurance policies in Minnesota. We’ll have a representative contact you directly to discuss this further with you. Thank you.
