I look forward to every appointment I have at Magnolia. They have such a welcoming and calming office. I’ve been seeing Kelsey for acupuncture for over 6 months and she is incredible! I trust them so much, I’ve even started to see Dr. Wills for naturopathic help. 10/10 recommend Magnolia Wellness!

If you have ever considered acupuncture I would tell you to not think twice and 100% recommend Magnolia Wellness. I went to see Angela a year ago with little knowledge of acupuncture but with hope that she could help me. I had experienced a very personal loss and was grieving without knowing how to process my emotions all while maintaining a fast paced, high stress life, and I needed help. The moment I met her I felt a shift and broke down, she explained acupuncture to me, was fully present as I told her what I was going through, she was so incredibly kind, genuinely concerned and interested in helping me. I tend to lean heavily on western medicine but for once in my life I decided to let go and just trust the process. Once we started my first session I could feel energy flowing through me and out of me, almost like when you open an oven and can see the heat moving. I didn’t understand it but after my treatment I felt so light, relaxed and at the same time exhausted, just needing sleep. I had such a tangible shift that I knew this was something I needed to continue. Over the last year my sessions have changed, I no longer feel the extreme overflow of energy most times but instead a light calm awareness, a physical and mental reset that I can carry with me on my day to day. I have seen very tangible changes in my life. I have more clarity, I can process my emotions much better, I have tools to manage my stress, I can see where I lack balance in my life, I feel equipped to make huge life changes because of the balance, calm, and clarity I’ve gained as a result of Angela’s care. I will continue to see Angela regularly and I cannot recommend her enough. She is an absolute healer and will meet you wherever you are in your journey.

I first started seeing Anglea a couple years ago for extreme anxiety and insomnia. At the time it felt like she literally saved my life! Her compassion and kindness made me feel at peace and based on the relief that I have had from regular weekly acupuncture treatment (along with nutritional changes and herbs that she has recommended) I know first hand what a highly qualified acupuncturist she is. Becuase of the way she has helped (and listened) I have been able to heal my body and mind and I have no longer been debilitated by anxiety. I now have the confidence and energy to make changes in my life that have served me well. I always look forward to coming into seeing Angela- the new wellness center space (she has just moved into a much larger office) is GORGEOUS. It is clean and fresh and the place has some seriously good energy.

Please fill out the new patient paperwork prior to your visit by downloading the new patient forms from our website at https://www.magnoliawellnessoc.com/ Make sure to have a light snack before treatment to ensure there is energy (or Qi). We ask that you take it easy the rest of your day, avoid strenuous activities and make sure to stay hydrated post-treatment, similar to a good massage. Your body does profound work while resting with acupuncture needles, we want to make sure you continue to support the healing.

What should I expect from acupuncture?

Acupuncture provides an instant reset for the nervous system. It is one of the best things you can do for stress and anxiety and improves sleep patterns, balances hormones and improves energy levels, among many other things. What is gua sha?

Magnolia Wellness OC | Aug 22, 2021
Magnolia Wellness OC | Aug 22, 2021

As a combo treatment alongside acupuncture, Gua Sha is a Chinese treatment, similar in effect to cupping. 'Gua' stands for rubbing or friction. 'Sha' stands for congested or stagnant blood at the surface of the body. When friction is applied in repeated, even strokes, the 'sha' surfaces as small red petechiae relieving pain and muscle tension. The red spots and bruising might take 2 to 3 days to heal. Usually a flat tool with rounded ends is used to create this effect. For an additional cost, body gua sha is a wonderful component to acupuncture for instant pain relief, increased range of motion and removing tissue blockages and stagnation.

Do you offer cupping?

Absolutely! It’s one of the best things you can do for pain. Acupuncture blocks the pain signals to the brain. That’s why they use it for anesthesia during surgeries in some countries. In the United States, acupuncture is most widely known to help alleviate pain such as arthritis, TMJ pain, abdominal pain, gastritis and more.

How many treatments will I need?

The fastest way to see results is to experience your first 3 treatments within the first 2-3 weeks of your first visit. This is why we offer a 3 treatment intro package. We want to build upon the communication and healing that is already taking place rather than starting over every time. Ongoing patient care depends on the severity of the illness. A general rule of thumb is a month of treatment for every year of discomfort.

You pay upfront at the time of service and we will bill your insurance company directly for your reimbursement. We customarily receive reimbursement from Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Healthcare PPO within 30 days but please call your provider to confirm your specific benefits.
