Had work on my a Corvair... ended up taking off for me to get part work done at Corvair California in Chino Hills then back to him as on rack to bolt back together. Was told by Corvair California how much fluid to add and some bar how far it needed to go into engine which he put it on paper. This guy screwed that paper up saying he’s been this too long to be told. Guy over filled it and needed to be drained which says it all really. I think he’s possibly ok at his job on most cars but knows nothing on the Corvair and has an arrogance. Only thing I’d say is when the ones in the know advise is to listen and not be a know it all... mate went for a leak on his 80’s Firebird... still leaks. Look around and see if there’s better as he’s not all that.

First i called Brent answered and said come on in. I arrived he took a first look at my shop truck and said it 2 quarts low on fluid and replaced it at no cost and recomended a trans service. I exclaimed WHAT i just left Aamco tramsmission in Tustin and Anthony the owner said I need a 2800.00 rebuild. I returned to Leons transmissions at 2pm and Brent preformed a 125.00 service and it runs and shifs prefectly!!!! Wow if honesty is the best policy Brent and Leons transmission in Costa Mesa is the best place to go!!!

Completely lived up to the awesome reviews on Yelp! I was on vacation with my family, and my minivan decided to die on me while at the beach. I had it towed to Firestone, and they thought it was a transmission issue (they estimated $4,000), but said they couldn't do that work there. They suggested Leon's Transmission, and I looked up the Yelp reviews, and decided to have it towed there. Within 5 seconds of turning the key on my van, Brent diagnosed that it was not a transmission issue, but a broken axle (I only knew it was LOUD NOISES, didn't know the difference). He knew I was from out of state, and was stranded here with my family, and decided to expedite my repairs, and ended up fixing it completely within about 5 hours. Freaking amazing! I couldn't believe with how many cars and how many phone calls he was getting, that he gave me that kind of attention, and more importantly he correctly diagnosed and fixed the problem, for a VERY reasonable price (broken axle parts and labor = $275; transmission serviced = $175)! SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! I feel like the next time I visit the beach, I will just go to him to get routine transmission service, just because he was so awesome! I hIghly, HIGHLY recommend Brent and his team to anyone. Just expect it to be busy there, which is (in this case) a sign of a very good mechanic. Everyone trusts him!

Amazing place and honest, I took my car in thinking I snapped my shift cable but they told me it was just a couple missing bolts and saved me a ton of money! Thank you Leon's!
