This is one of the BEST facilities you could ever go to. I rarely ever write reviews, but this place deserves it. Not only are they super quick and efficient, but extremely kind. I always get so nervous with anything that has to do w medical. From the moment you walk in with check-in, to the bloodwork (Olga is amazing at drawing. You don’t feel a thing and I’m a coward), and lastly to the counselors. I dealt with Robert Palomo. I am so grateful I was able to get him. He really goes above and beyond. The kind of care and attention he gives is amazing. I had a not so great experience at another clinic and I only wish everyone trained under this man. He doesn’t have to be this way, but you can tell he genuinely cares for every one that walks through this clinic. He wants to make sure you’re ok and actually receive the help you went for. I can continue to praise this man and recommend everyone to have a Robert as their counselor or someone like a Robert. Thank you LGBT center for your staff and Thank you Robert for doing what you do. You’re very much appreciated.

Absolutely the WORST "healthcare" provider in town. I finally have switched healthcare providers after 2 long arduous years during the pandemic at this God awful clinic. Within one week my new (not affiliated with this clinic) Dr has fulfilled all referrals and medications. After repeated requests for follow ups with this clinic for Derm for skin cancer & Gastro for stomach issues over the course of two years, I never received one. NOT ONE IN TWO YEARS. They never filled my allergy medication after several requests and I NEVER saw an actual Dr. All nurse practitioners that never follow through. Not to mention every time I went to my pharmacy there was an issue. Either the Dr forgot to refill my medication that I need to stay alive or there was no communication at all to my pharmacy. EVERY MONTH! The phlebotomy room is like a conveyer belt of grim reapers where you're just a number and not an actual human being. And when you call the clinic offices, it more often than not felt like every clerk was rolling their eyes while talking to you. That is if you can EVER get anyone on the actual phone. My new Dr's office actually answers the phone! Imagine that?!! This clinic is WAY overbooked and WAY understaffed yet they continue to spend MILLIONS of dollars on pretty new buildings. OUTRAGEOUS! IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE DO NOT GO HERE! This kind of clinic is how people die waiting for 2 years for a referral while your cancer spreads. They really take the "care" out of healthcare. So if you CARE about your health keep looking for a new Dr.

A place of hope for the LGBTQI community is LA. They have different programs for every group of the LGBT people. I loved the creative projects and programs of the center. They have some amazing information leaflets and booklets to educate yourself. The center is a pioneer and is an example of how an LGBT center could serve the youth.

It depend upon why you are there. To see the place, no appointment. To use the Pharmacy, no appointment. To have a tour, sign up online. For medical purposes, appointment necessary also you have to have a couple of intake appointments. 1st financial screening then a medical screening. After that they will book you to see a doctor. The walk in policy has been discontinued due to overwhelming demand. There is also psychological care there too. You should take the tour if you have never been there. It is a great + safe place. You CAN walk in to make an appointment vs calling.
For clients/patients parking is located directly behind the McDonald/Wright building. Parking is free, but is only allowed for the time of your visit There are other parking lots in the area, but no validation is offered. Hope this was helpful. 😀🌈😀
I believe they do. You might want to log-on to their website to get further information.
I recommend that you make an appointment first; it will probably expedite the process plus it will help determining who will best take care of your particular needs. I have been a client there since 1999 and have always received great service.
Just call they will help gave you some information on that good luck
I don't know, but try after 9am Monday morning to see.
Contact your provider and the clinic
Yes phone and make an appointment or walk in
Yes, the pharmacy is open from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays, then they close for an hour so the staff can take their lunch break, and then they reopen at 3:00 p.m. and stay open until 5:30 p.m.
Medicare provides Caregivers for free. You do not have to take whomever they send, you can choose your caregiver (a friend). If you are a client of the LA LGBTQ CENTER they MAY have a listing of caregivers. Another approach would be to post a sign at the center looking for a LGBTQ Caregiver. Best if luck in your search

Call and ask for legal advice services or see if you can schedule an appointment!
FollowMyHealth that's the one I use.
The internets. . .Ask Alexa. . .Syrie can help too. . .she's sweet too. . .it may be on the googles. Hope that helps.
Just have them call you back. Call, press 3 then 1 when they ask of you want them to call you back.
I'm not sure if you can stay there but they can help in some way.
Please have your friend call and enquire about scheduling a financial screening.
Does the community "take in" couples? I don't quite understand your question. Regarding low-income housing, or something else?
I understand that senior/low income housing is being constructed now. Best to contact the Center for more info.
M-Th 8 AM - 7 PM 3rd Floor, Sign In, Wait to get called to first open ! Excellent compassionate care! 👍❤

Go to http://lalgbtcenter.org/how-you-can-help/volunteer
Go to a help center at sherider gay and lesbian center they help with services
Asher, David, Jason, and Timothy are spot on with their advice and I really don't have anything to add except the tired old saying of, hang in there the best you can. Hopefully some doors will open soon and your situation will get better. The L. A. LGBT Center is a fine place that has helped thousands of people and is staffed by highly qualified people that care.
I dont think so, your friend would need a financial screening before seeing a nurse or doctor, call up and make an Appointment for a financial screening
Yes, you can get housing assistance. One requirement is income level. Otherwise they also have a community bulletin board where I found my last apt. The LGBTQ Center has many resources for housing. Call or stop by to make an appointment. Best of Luck
No....They will Help ALL Ages.
You can try calling LA County's #: 211. They have several references 2 provide U 2 contact. If U live in city of LA, they might have something. Call 311. There's a Federal program that funds Section 8 vouchers, but their funding is hit & miss. Sometimes they have them, sometimes they don't.U can ask 211/311about them. Sec. 8 vouchers R managed thru Housing Authority of the City of LA (HACLA). Google them b/c they have regional ofcs, so U can call ofc near U. Lastly, PATH (People Assisting The Homeless). Their website called ePATH.org (Google 4 the ofc nearest U...3 regional #'s). They actually HAVE housing facilities, but there might B a wait list. They also have BEST chance 2 get U a voucher. They often get 1st allocation when they're available, & they have almost a 100% success rate of placement when they get them. GOOD LUCK! :-)
Call and make an appointment. On the day of the apppintnent arrive 15 minutes early. Go to the 2nd floor and check in. They will have you meet with someone who will do an interview. They will ask a lot of questions. This is for you so answer as honestly as you can. The questions are so that they can find you the best group, doctor or therapist for whatever issues you are having and you will be referred for treatment. I went through the process and everyone is very kind and helpful. Best to you and your journey toward enlightenment.
First off, I'd recommend checking your rental agreement to see if you are expressly prohibited from having ANY overnight guests or if there is a limit to the # of nights anyone can stay. But when you get to domestic partners, it can be treated differently, but it might require registration w/ the city. I would check w/ city of LA or WeHo b/c they have different rules under their own rent control. Going thru an attorney referral @ the Center would take much longer when a simple phone call to the city could do. Good luck!
