This place is an absolute joke. We applied for a car to be financed, got approved. Spoke to a lady at their store that said the car was mine and was holding it until told other wise. Called in to get more information on the car to be told they sold the car to someone else. Then to be told ''it happens''.... if I could negative star this place with honor of keeping their word. I would trust the word of a crack head on the street before these shady people

The Philadelphia showroom of Gateway Classic Cars is definitely a joy to walk through. It’s almost as if it’s a classic car museum. However, doing actual business with the company (specifically selling a car with them) doesn’t have that same “joy.” Some months back I was interested in selling one of my classic cars with Gateway. I figured it would be easier than trying to do it myself. I also liked the idea of being able to keep the car at their showroom (it would free up some space at the garage I keep my cars at). As the process began, I started to catch a strange vibe with the management. They were very skeptical of the ownership of my car and were quite rude about it (the car was purchased by me but was put in my father’s name due to classic car insurance purposes). A Gateway employee also felt the audacity to criticize my grandfather, to whom they were once employed by. That was a very unnecessary and unprofessional comment that solidified my dissatisfaction in working with Gateway. I don’t foresee myself going back there anytime soon as I would feel quite uncomfortable. Best regards nonetheless…

Hundreds of lovely older cars, mostly American. All are in excellent condition, prices reasonable, staff quite knowledgeable. Inventory is on consignment, so you are looking at cars which may have problems that the staff doesn't know about. Showroom is in an industrial office complex a few minutes off I-495 in New Jersey. Probably 30 minutes from downtown Philadelphia. See something you really like? Leave an offer and come back for a test drive.
