Day time neighborhood daily dog walking / socializing destination. Grass has turned to dust so dog play becomes messy and hard to see. The creek is graffiti covered and needs maintenance. There is lots of garbage throughout the park. The random hill trail needs markers or more trail maintenance. Dead animals need to be disposed of promptly. It is large and eclectic but needs more maintenance, more parking, and security. After a certain time it isn't safe. Drugs are sold/done, fireworks/poppers are set off, homeless sleep, and small groups cluster. My neighbor said she was mugged there. Go during the day. Wear sturdy shoes.

For an urban hike I really loved it. Went on a weekday and parking was very easy. Hardly anyone on the trail. Beautiful towering trees and also views of the bay.

I loved the Redwood trees. It's so beautiful there. If you have kids, I would recommend this park to you. It's great for picnics also

Dimond Park is filled with shade from the trees, a nice breeze flowed under them. There are three play areas, a pool, tennis court, basketball court, a little soccer field, trails, picnic areas with a lot of sitting and the center. There were a couple events happening at the park. One was a group doing yoga, a church had service and youth selling home baked goods.

I think they're still working on it... The web site says early October.
