Went on a Sunday to do the tube loop. It was nice. I highly suggest if you get there between shuttle times to just wait for the shuttle before you go down river. The loop takes about an hour and if you wait for the shuttle the first time then you will be on time to catch the shuttle back to do it again. You can bring your own tubes or pay a little extra to use theirs. It's $1 for 4 minutes to blow up your own tube.

I mean it's a nice family friendly campsite if you consider their security going around at 4am looking in the windows of people's cars and into peoples tents family friendly then yeah it's a great campsite. You do have to pay in full 7 days before your trip is scheduled for which is understandable. You also can't have any generators or they'll kick your entire group out if you're caught with one. There's also cell blockers so that you can't have internet access unless you pay $10 a night for it. I am giving them two stars because I did at least like how pretty it was there.

VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH OZARK OUTDOORS! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Our family and friends have been long time customers and I am sad to say this will be our last year staying at their campground. We are literally 1 week from our trip and have spent $1,700.00. Today I called to add 2 more people to our trip and the lady in formed me that we will also have a $60 fuel surge charge added on. I asked when they started adding that charge and she stated about a month ago. I stated that I was not informed in any way of this charge being added. She confirmed that Ozark Outdoor Resort did not notify anyone of this newly added charge. People have no idea about the newly added charges and are not being told until they show up to check in for their weekend stay! They would not waive the charge even though we were long time customers. I asked the manager if they even cared about customer service, she replied with "I'm sorry you were not informed but it is a charge you will have to pay if your group wants to float." So disappointing to know that they only care about making money and not the people who give them business. I AGAIN, DO NOT RECOMMEND OZARK OUTDOOR RESORT.

The absolute best float trip resort in Missouri! Clean! Very new clean amenities. The tube loop float is the best in the state. It borders the resort the entire time. We liked that. It was just a few hours and that was all we wanted to do. Great beaches and beautiful landscape with bluffs cliffs and trees and AWESOME rushing river. We will be back!

Questions & Answers

It says it's almost $500 to go on a 3.5 - 6 hour (5 mile) float trip for our family and another family. We would need two 8 person rafts due to children, coolers, etc. Is this normal??? That seems crazy. Recommendations?

If you think about it, that's only $31.25 per person. Parking, transportation, and the (2) 8 man rafts. Ozark Outdoors can't be beat 😊

Can you bring your own sit on top kayak and be shuttled from resort?

Michael Kossman | Jul 6, 2019
S Murphy | Jul 7, 2019

I've done it before even with a big sit in style and they did not charge any extra fees to haul it to the drop point. But it made for a cramped bus ride because they transported it in between the seats of the bus, making it a little bit hard to walk through the aisle

What are pink kayaks? How do the differ from the sit on ones you have?

So there are two types of kayaks, "sit on top" and "sit in." Ozark outdoors has an ongoing promotion that you can get a pink colored kayak for a little extra and that extra money is donated to Cancer research. There isn't any difference in the kayaks, just a different color. The difference in selecting a kayak would be sit in or sit on top. Have fun!!
