The Huzzah Valley Resort does a fantastic job making the float trip a cinch and a fun time. We’ve begun an annual tradition of floating at Huzzah for my wife’s work friends (real fun group of people), and we always have so much fun… If asked, I would definitely recommend floating the Huzzah to any of my friends!! πŸ›ΆπŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ½

My friends and I LOVE Huzzah Vally Resort and have been going for years. It's our go-to for day trips as well. They are organized, great at offering suggestions on what route to take on the river and they make the registration process super easy. We kayak mostly so often take the routes without the rafts. They keep track of you too and get you on the river pretty quickly without having to get on the bus at a particular time. Camping is great as well, though I highly recommend camping down the road a bit away from the front more travelled area. We like to be far enough away for privacy and quiet but not so far we can't walk to the main building. The showers are nice and the main store has a lot of things you might have forgotten. Just go, you'll have a great time.

Update - stayed here again, early in the season and had a tent spot right on the river. Spot was really nice, and not being many people around made it really nice. And the people at the front building were very nice. But it's still very expensive to stay here for a Campground, still can't get over how they charge per person, and a lot per person after the campsite is already paid for. Still have to pay for showers. And we were told that there were new showers at the back of the family Campground, but when we got there they were half finished, no sinks and no hot water... Expensive for wood and ice. We will be staying somewhere else next time. Older review - Tent camping review (family side of the campground) (we can't comment on anything besides the campground, shower houses and the main building as those were the only places we were at) - they have some nice primitive campsites on the river, but none of them have electric or water. Sites with electric and water, which is where we stayed at, are not very private at all, think trailer park one right after the other, they aren't very wide either so you're always right on top of someone it seems like. (Also on their online reservation site, they state that a lot of the electric and water sites are on the water, that is not true) We were shocked at how old and unclean the shower house / bathrooms / laundry house on the south side of the property were (see attached photographs), the shower house next to the main building was newer and cleaner but still not as clean as they should have been (hairs left on the walls for days), main building where there's a small restaurant, and convenience store is nice and newer and cleaner. There is a new AT&T tower on their property so service and coverage is good here. The staff was fairly friendly most of the time, Daphne was excellent over the phone. While it is camping, I've been to many campgrounds that are so much nicer for much less money (seriously you charge for every person on a single site on top of what you charge for the site?) Bottom line this place could be much nicer for how much money these guys rake in...

My family used to come here when I was younger and stay in the campsites. I've decided to bring my family now as an adult 20 years later. We stayed in a cabin, which fit 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog very comfortably. We also went on a float trip which was long and very scenic. We had food ordered which we had to place the order in the main office as we didn't have cell phone service way out here. The food was cheap in price and decent in quality, but cheaper than I expected the resort delivered food to be. I would definitely recommend this for families. We had our dog in the cabin as well as the raft for the float trip, so definitely pet friendly as well.

I get great reception through AT&T using Pixel phones. Although I believe more recently since 2019-2020 the cell towers have slightly improved reception for everyone.
