A fun, nostalgic place to stay in the hills near Steelville, Missouri. This place is OLD (a century old, that is) and the age shows, so it's important to know what you're signing up for. The staff members are incredibly welcoming, and every time we've come here, I practically feel like we're staying with family. :) I love the charm of the surroundings and the sense of history. Also, the view out back is wonderful if you get up early to catch the mists rolling through the hills before the morning sun burns it off. If you're doing a tour of historic Route 66, this is worth a slight detour (about 15 minutes / 6 miles out of the way from Cuba MO) on the way.

Just love the intimate venue for concerts here at Wildwood Lodge!!

The facility is okay....old, semi clean-ish rooms/common areas. Check-in was frustrating. We were handed keys and told absolutely no information....had to ASK where to park, where our room was located, when meals were served, ect. The food was good, though...much better than expected! And the pool area was nice and clean. Reggae band was also fun, but played over an hour past the posted 11pm "quiet time", so bring ear plugs if you don't stay up late.

Very fun, nostalgic place to stay. The facilities are a bit rustic and lack modern amenities, but the location and scenery are outstanding. Dinner and breakfast are included, and both were outstanding. The pool is large and in a great setting with a view of the valley below, and there are horseshoe pits to entertain you. Several river floating opportunities are also nearby.
