Murphy's Place a 4J Vacation Rentals property

This is my 5th time staying at this property. I’ve stayed in all of the cabins except Murphy’s Retreat. This stay was just as great as the others. Dogwood cabin is beautiful, clean, and perfectly stocked with everything you need to cook or barbecue. We loved the pavilion/riverside area. Lots of seating and easy access to the river. Highly recommend! Quieter and more privacy than the other options in steelville. We floated using the kick n k services, it was very convenient and close. We floated 3 miles down the Meramec and it was perfect. Only took 3 hours in a raft which worked great for us.

Once again our experience was fabulous. We wanted to get some good quality time with our family before our son left for a year for Korea. He got to experience his son getting on the river at 17 months for the first time and they both had a fabulous time. The Sassafras cabin was perfect. It is clean the bed are so comfy and the fact that we had fully stocked firewood to use and enjoy the outdoors was fabulous. We have stayed at 4j over on the farm and it is great. The new area over at Murphys is even better. It is beautiful first of all and then so super private which makes you feel like it's your own place. It really has everything you need. I recommend taking time during your visit to explore the farm and everything they offer. They work very hard to provide you the best experience during your stay...

This was an absolutely beautiful and peaceful getaway! The cabin was gorgeous and so clean. On the back porch you can even hear the river running. Such a quaint oasis and hidden gem! I’m so glad we found it and I can’t wait to stay there again!

Murphy's is a truly special place... mostly, because it's the spot I chose as a surprise getaway after proposing to my (now) fiancee! Although I had never been here before, it was honestly the perfect setting for us to celebrate. Jessica and her partner were INCREDIBLY accommodating, even working to help me keep the secret so it was a genuine surprise. They also gave us the needed flexibility to pull the whole weekend off. Our cabin was such a romantic setting, and the pavilion by the river was the most ideal location to invite family and friends to celebrate with us. I sincerely appreciated how invested they were in making this a special weekend for us, and couldn't recommend a place more. I hope to be back, and encourage anyone else to stay here. Thanks!
