I love this independent bookstore so so much. Great browsing, great staff, great selection. They have an excellent shelf of cookbooks, too, if that's your fancy (great for gifts). I really really love their recommendations shelf: The staff can always tell you the best thing to read! :)

A decent-sized bookstore with a lot of character. Books, cards, wrapping paper, gifts—there is a good variety. I happened to be in store during an author event, which was cool. My favorite section of books was the limited edition.

Decent sized bookstore with good collections for all ages and interests. I was looking for baking/ cooking books. My only gripe is that they did have some of the best sellers on the shelves and did not have another copy for the book I liked as the cover of the one on shelf was little worn. I purchased nonetheless.

We have implemented extensive precautions and improvements to prioritize the safety of our staff and customers. These include the following: 1. Considerable investments to improve ventilation at Kepler's: We added three new 6-feet wide doors in the glass wall facing El Camino and these new doors as well two existing doors stay open during all business hours. We upgraded the filters in our air-conditioning systems to medical grade MERV-13 filters, and we added multiple air purifiers to the store floor. 2. Our staff are provided with KN95 masks. We also make face shields available to staff who prefer additional protection. Customers have to wear masks. 3. We regularly do considerable training of our staff on safety procedures. Staff will maintain social distance of 6 foot. 4. We have an open-air bookstore in the plaza adjacent to Kepler's to help people buy some of our best books and gifts without stepping inside the store. 5. We have plexiglass barriers at customer service stations.
