Very disappointed. Will not be continuing the wellness plan for my kitten or recommending it to anyone. 1st complaint is even if you make an early morning appointment, your animal is not ready to pickup until the end of they day. What’s the purpose of an appointment if my cat has to be in an unfamiliar environment for 6+ hours. Was also informed when I bought the plan that vaccines appointments would be quick appointments where you can walk in and out which was not true. My cat would be there for 3+ hours for a vaccine. Once I was 15 minutes late for a vaccine and they refused to take her, even though they clearly do not do anything during scheduled appointment times. #2 When my cat was microchipped, they linked my animal to the wrong family and still trying to get this straightened out. #3 Lastly, on my second comprehensive physical exam for my cat, I was called as I pulling into the parking lot that my cat was not due for anything- though the plan I bought included 2 comprehensive physical exams which I had only 1 of when she was a 6 week kitten when the plan was activated. Banfield advertises as a great vet, but in practice they are not. You’re better off to get pet insurance and go to an actual vet.

Best place for puppies for Vet appointments. They keep the puppy for 1 hour after the shot to observe for allergic reactions. I liked that idea. They give a pleasant reminder call a day before the appointment. Aruna

For a normal checkup, had multiple cancellations and reschedulings. Now I have a legitimate need for a vet to see our dog and they can’t see him for almost a week. At $60 for their care plan, it’s such a waste.

Just know that even if you've been part of and paid for their wellness plan for 10+ years, if you have a sick cat they will not do anything to make room in their schedule to see her. I’m being told their first appointment is more than 2 weeks away. Absolutely unacceptable. Tells me to go to another vet!

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
