Banfield is a corporation. While there were people I encountered that were kind and caring the overall experience was poor. They have more business than they can handle. Communication was less that satisfactory. The last time my pup had a check in I brought her in at 8am and she wasn’t ready until they closed. I had to call them twice to get updates. We did the puppy plan for her first year but six months into year two I canceled and paid out the balance. Everybody is understaffed, everyone is overwhelmed, but my pet won’t suffer because you all can’t keep vets and vet techs on staff. Once they cut her claws and she came home with bloody paws. I was told not to go with Banfield but I wanted the structure since this is my first dog. I’ve already found a small vet practice that has the structure and customer service that my pet and I deserve. My advice, stay away from corporations find a small business that appreciates your hard earned dollars and build from there. Poor experience with Banfield unfortunately.

They kept the dog for us, but when I came to pick the dog up, they didn’t have her carrier or other stuff that was left with her. They went and found the items, but her flea collar was removed for some reason, and put aside in a plastic bag. When I got home I set the things down and didn’t realize that her flea collar was separated from her, and ended up buying another $60 flea collar to replace what I thought was lost. A week later I found the old one, but I don’t understand why it was removed in the first place. Just added aggravation and cost.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
