What an absolute beautiful property. My wife and I really enjoy our Thursday night at Cheekwood. The mansion has beautiful pieces of furniture. The art exhibit upstairs is captivating. The gardens are massive and immaculately taken care of. We went on an evening when they had live music and food trucks and had a great night.

Get the garden and mansion tickets. I almost chose 'garden only' and I'm glad I read the other reviews. The Cheek family mansion is full of history, elegance, and architectural mastery. The art gallery on the 2nd floor has a rotation of exhibits. It is rare to get a self-paced, self-guided tour in historic homes like this. You can really take your time admiring the small details that makes this home special. The gardens are well maintained and offer multiple hidden spaces to sit and lose yourself in thought. The streams, ponds, and fountains added to the relaxing ambiance. We beat the crowds and went on a weekday, which made our visit more enjoyable.

The place seems very well taken care of, and I like that you can visit the historical house as well as the gardens. The house has permanent exhibits as well as changing ones, as well as a café in the stable area nearby. The kid's garden seemed pretty fun, and there was a small Japanese garden. They have a few ponds and I saw lots of picnics. It wasn't as big as I'd expected, but you can tell the people who work there take pride in it.

My wife and I are on vacation and stopped in Nashville to see some of the sites. We love nature and especially botanical gardens. Found Cheekwood via a net search and planned a visit. There are numerous themed gardens including children related areas. Very family friendly, but if you want to see everything plan on walking the 55 acres with that in mind. All the paths are well marked and I saw some older folks in wheelchairs and mobility scooters. You can tour the 130 year old house but we didn't do that. BRING YOUR CAMERA because you will fall in love with the picture possibilities. Highly recommended. My wife and I are in the 65-69 year old group.

You're allowed to photograph anything for your own personal use. There is a small sitting fee if you are taking professional photos like bridal, engagement, prom, etc with pro camera equipment!
Yes there wheel chairs available, no charge, first come basis.
Call Cheekwood directly to see about rescheduling, but we had a delightful visit even in the rain. It was not hot or crowded, and the art was still lovely.
Official answer from their FAQ: Are Pets allowed at Cheekwood? Animals are not allowed unless they are service animals. We have several dog-friendly events throughout the year such as our Dog Days of Summer and Halloween Pooch Parade. Check our calendar for our upcoming dog events.
Unsure call them they are open e everyday except mondays...open at 9am... if you already have a membership ELSEWHERE it should be free for you..
I have not seen any while there. Better to call & inquire, possibly they have them available just not in patron view ...
There is admission fee
It is handicap accessible, though with limitations. The mansion is completely accessibly while the grounds are very limited. The grounds do have paths that will accommodate a wheel chair, but much of the grounds may prove difficult to traverse in a wheel chair (depending on type of chair and style of wheels).
I actually don't know! But I know you can call and look up everything online!
