I came here with a few friends about 3-4 years ago. The tour was very relaxed and friendly. We were allowed to taste from various steps of the process, which absolutely changed the way I saw bourbons and even other whiskies. That day was definitively the transformative one in which I began to appreciate differences between whiskies and their mash bills and smokiness. I bought a stave and barrel bourbon, and I honestly say that until this day I have never found a bourbon I liked more. It is unique, with lots of dark smokiness and a sharp 60% alcohol, not to mention that I like rye, so the fact that they went heavy on it here helped. I only wish I can find this in NY or Florida, where I live and travel...

It was a wonderful experience to listen to Dave's storytelling and learn all about his passion for distilling fine spirits and his love for the former Old Crow distillery. He is quite a character and a master a spinning a tale. It makes the experience top notch. The spirits are amazing. Some of the best we tasted during our 4 days on the Bourbon Trail. Don't pass up this one!

Our last stop of the day and ….Surprise !!!! Wow ! Glenn’s Creek does not disappoint! The Bourbon is amazing! Vicky took great care of us even though it was almost the end of the day ! The Rye is great. Actually we bought a bottle of everything we tasted because we cannot get their Spirits at home. We cannot wait to share them ! Glenn’s Creek gets a big thumbs up !

This was another great accidental find, went to do the bourbon trail and because of covid they were all closed. Yeah we should have checked if they were open but this was a last minute decision on our way back from doing the Tail of the Dragon. Good thing the big places were closed, because we wouldn't have stopped here. They were getting ready to do a tasting when we randomly pulled in. We were welcomed with open arms and provided a very cool experience and a personal touch large facilities are not capable of. Provided us with a private room for tasting, at which time we were also getting a history of Bourbon's and what makes them special. Loved it so much that between the 4 of us we purchased 15 bottles of their finally crafted Bourbons. We are now officially out of room in our two cars. Thank you Glenn Creek for the wonderful hospitality and for the extra mile you all went!

Hi Ken, the chemical is methanol and it is an alcohol. It vaporizes at a lower temp than ethanol so it comes off the still first and we collect it and discard it. Hope that helps. David
