Salt River is a lovely place to go canoeing or kayaking during the warmer months. The staff at Blue Moon is always helpful and go out of their way to make it a nice experience for all of the renters. "How was the paddle?" is a common question asked by the employees with a smile on their faces. Free ice cream is always a plus for the kiddos too!

Best way to enjoy Floyd's Fork and Salt River! The whole experience was easy and fun. You don't need to be athletic or experienced at kayaking to have a great time Their website is really easy to navigate for making reservations and the prices are very fair. They needed to switch us to Salt River as a starting point since the water levels were low, and notified us the the night before with an updated address, so we knew exactly where we needed to go the morning of. On the day of, they give you life jackets and paddles and take you on a short bus ride to the starting point. Once you're in the water, you can go at your own pace! My sister and I took it easy, just drifting for the most part, and it was so quiet and lovely. The air is cooler on the water, and you're shaded most of the way, so it's really pleasant for the summer. Going at a snail's pace, we finished the Salt River route in 3.5 hours (had made reservations for the half day and wanted to get our money's worth 🙃).
