Shady, sun dappled trails make this a great hike. There is a lot of up and down making for good exercise. Between the shade and mountain elevations you can bet it is a lot cooler here than in Denver! I was disappointed with the trail signage - confusing at times but not hard to get back on track.

Nice moderate hiking trail not too far from Denver. We went on a Tuesday and saw very few people. Out of towners and they all did great with it, the 11 year old handled it like a champion too. I love using the all trails app to be able to stay on track, otherwise, the beauty and chatter could make you take a wrong turn. A spot I'm sure I'll visit many more times this summer

Beautiful hike but I did find certain areas to be challenging. There is a lot of boulder climbing and pretty steep dropoffs which is why I would not recommend small children unless as I saw today children in backpacks. It is also not marked very well but if you just stay with the creek and to the left at the switchbacks you will reach the top. The waterfall itself isn't very big and is probably a lot bigger with spring runoff.

Such a beautiful trail....... There are multiple inclines and declines thought the hike to see the falls. My first hike at the falls we had to continuously stop for short breaks to let the two smokers and non-hikers rest their legs and catch their breath. I would say it's a moderate trail but I don't think I would bring grandma and grandpa to this one. The sign pointing the direction of the falls could be better but it's such a beautiful trail. Enjoy the hike and be sure you bring your camera.

Dogs are allowed, as noted by others, BUT make sure you are observant of your dog. dogs do not sweat the same way we do, and therefore overheat a lot easier than we do. Please bring enough water for you and your pet, cool them off frequently if it is warmer than 60 outside and they are exerting energy. Have seen many times dogs who are overheated on trials.
It's permisable to camp on USFS land but I don't believe there is a good campsite by the falls. There may be some lower down on the trail.

The road is always open year round and plowed constantly. The parking lot some people have truble with but you should be fine
I only saw moose and most signs say no fire arms...
No fee of any sort. Parking is limited though as its a very popular trail.
