We selected Lee's Summit Heating and Cooling to replace our old heat pump and A-coil. We received several quotes to replace the old unit and Lee's Summit Heating and Cooling gave us the best combination of price, service after installation and availability. The team that came out to replace the unit was competent, friendly and courteous. They got our replacement job completed in 4 hours. They did a great job cleaning up and we are pleased with the results. The new AC runs quieter and cools quicker then the old heat pump. We recommend Lee's Summit Heating and Cooling to prospective customers.

We called Lee's Summit Heating and Cooling when our A/C unit didn't kick on after the first heat wave. A technician came out promptly later that day and explained to us that our compressor was bad and therefore the entire unit needed to be replaced. The technician quoted us $8,125 for a new unit. We ended up calling another company to give us a second opinion. Turns out, our compressor was entirely fine -- I had spliced my thermostat wiring wrong this past winter when I moved the thermostat to another wall. Based on the wires on the motherboard by the furnace, I should have done blue to yellow instead of blue to blue. The second company charged me $90 for a service call and was able to both troubleshoot and fix the issue in under an hour. We like to assume the best in people, but we do feel like we were deceived or at least misled by what the technician suggested was the only course of action. I believe his words were something to the effect of: "your compressor is bad. We can't just replace blank because blank, so you'll have to get a new unit." After the Lee's Summit Heating and Cooling technician was able to successfully manually kick on our A/C unit (which I saw him do), and successfully get cool air to blow throughout the house, he should have been able to isolate the issue to either the wiring from the thermostat to the motherboard or the thermostat itself, instead of leading us to think that the only course of action possible was the replace the unit entirely. Granted, our unit is old (uses R22) and perhaps the technician figured it was about time to replace anyways. However, we wish the technician would have diagnosed the issue properly instead of telling us the compressor was bad and the entire unit needed to be replaced.

Cody came to respond to my request for repair my a/c not working. Temp up to 91 and blowing no cold air, almost warm. Testing found '0' refrigerant registered. Also found damage to coil and causes of leakage. He gave me 3/4 options to resolve. I chose to replace just the outside a/c, since he had stated my furnace seemed in good condition. Also , the general Mgr, Mathew, came next day to install. Other places I had called could not come out even just to look for a week, and others did not even return my call. I was treated very well, and HIGHLY recommend you call them when you have heating and cooling issues. Thanks!

I have been a customer of LSH&C for several years. They have performed emergency repairs, basic maintenance and most recently a new AC and Heating system installation. They are always very thorough and provide detailed information about services needed and performed. During our recent installation, the service manager Matt was very candid about the costs and how long it would take to see a return on investment for various products. I contacted several other companies for pricing and that was not always the case with the other companies. In the end everything is working well, we were able to test ac on an 80+ day and the heat on a 30 degree day within a week of installation, and the installation looks like it was done by true professionals. Exceedingly happy. Thanks to the whole crew!

No. A larger system with more capacity delivers less comfort and costs more to operate. An air conditioner is at its least efficient when first turning on. A system with too much capacity will run in numerous short cycles, turning on and off repeatedly, therefore causing it to be less efficient. Also keep in mind that an air conditioner only removes humidity when it’s running, so a system with shorter run cycles doesn’t remove humidity from the air very well.
The heating and cooling systems are sized according to their tonnage. One (1) ton equals 12,000 BTU/H. Residential systems can range from 1 to 5 tons.
For optimum efficiency and filtration, we recommend that you replace your disposable filters at least once a month. If you have washable filters, they should be cleaned once a month.
Our HVAC service experts are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to get your system back up and running.
There are many recommendation we can make, but the recommendations we make vary ona case by case basis depending on an individual home or businesses needs. Give us a call so we can discuss in further detail.
To answer that question accurately, we’ll need to schedule an appointment with one of our HVAC service experts. We’ll come to your home or business and evaluate its size, heating and cooling needs, environment, and the work we’ll need to do. Then, we can recommend the best system for you and install it quickly.
If your HVAC system requires constant repairs, is 15 years or older, or can’t heat or cool your home properly, we recommend you replace it. When an HVAC system ages, it doesn’t operate as efficiently and could actually end up costing you more money than it should.
To keep your HVAC system running in tip-top shape, we recommend a maintenance appointment twice a year (once for heat, once for air conditioning). This way we can check your filters, coils, wiring, housing, motor, and more to make sure you’re getting the most out of your system.
