Great hotel for families! Even though it’s an older building, it’s been maintained quite well. Game room and pool are great additions to help keep kids busy. Rooms are just right and air conditioners work well! Also an easy walk to great restaurants (check out Halley’s West for good family dining and value)

Parking was good, a little tight but that was probably due to high peak time. I felt the room was a little small for the price but the balcony made up for it. Awesome game room. The pool looked nice as well. Breakfast was very nice. Second morning the breakfast room was crowded but there was seating outside too. Staff was nice and helpful. Having laundry accessible was good too. Glad there was a elevator. Awesome location.

I stayed here awhile ago, off season. The rooms were lovely, the people were friendly. It was family run and we did have some problems locating someone when the electronic lock malfunctioned. However, they were very efficient once located and had a very accommodating attitude making what could have been a bad situation better. This is central to the tourist section of downtown and an easy ride to the state park and to Mount Rushmore.

We spent 2 nights here and were so impressed! The hotel is older but spacious and spotless (I'm a nut about those things)! You can truly tell the staff care about it. There was a small issue with the guest before us being late to check out, but we appreciated how it was handled by staff. We slept in one night and left early the second and didn't get to experience breakfast, but I'm sure they put as much care into it as everything else. Parking was easy and the drive to Rapid City for our concert was quick and beautiful. We'll be back next time we're in the area!
