Great for off road vehicles. A little loud and dusty for the average boondocker. Still plenty of level space and the lake is nearby.

Pretty neat place, just have to drive an hour and a half to get out there and we're in some sand. Lots of wildlife, heard coyotes yipping at night and seen some deer out there on our last trip. Other riders seem to be respectful of one another when approaching. Only bummer is we're always finding trash, it can be really windy though.

Usually yes, but they have had a lot of fire bans this year, so I would look on line. We used a smudge pot during the open pit fire ban!!!♡♡♡
Camping is free at the sand dunes

OR and ID orv tabs are accepted in Wa
I did find out they are just not within the city limits.
Yes they are. Mud flats close though.
There are a couple places in town that rent side by sides but it's a natural area without shops and tourist attractions.
The spots are generally the same year round. There is no where at Moses lake dunes to launch your boat from and there are strict rules to keep vehicles from being near the waters edge.
Yes, but leash is required. Even if it wasnt I wouldnt recommend off to many people zipping around.
Have not heard anything about dunes being closed. Sundays are one of the busiest days for riding. Good luck and be safe.
Yes tragic accidents
I think there might be
There are some on the west side of the dunes that are pretty fun.
There's no shooting allowed in the dunes themselves but on dune rd i believe its called which is the entrance to the dunes from the west side is a few pull offs where it's legal to shoot. And no I don't believe you need a permit. Call the Sheriffs office to be sure tho!
Yes
