Yes and no there is restricted areas....if you talking about the mudd flats specifically you can only camp July 1st to October 31st because there is a protected bird mating habitats through out the flats. But the dunes are open all year long. And I'd have to aagree with another poster....follow the rules and pack in pack out. There is a division of the Sheriffs department that patrols the dunes and flats to make sure everyone is being respectful to the land and fellow recreation enthusiasts.
Yes and it is really nice. Make sure you have something for mosquito bites and also for the sun protection
Oh ya people camp there all the time its not to bad by the lake but you might want to bring bug spray just in case
