This amazing Hospital and their incredible staff saved my brother’s life!! After several years of my brother being misdiagnosed and improperly medicated , Van Nuys Behavioral Health Hospital was finally able to properly diagnose and therefore properly medicate my brother. Their lead Psychiatrist, Dr. Fawzy Basta is so incredibly experienced, with a bed side manner that is so compassionate towards not only towards his patients but he is even able to help calm his patient’s family members by being so informative and fantastic at his job. But it doesn’t stop there… from the moment you called their intake department and are able to deal with super human beings such as the incomparable Justine Secco, Mark, Jason and Nicole, you are instantly treated with so much love and care that you can’t help but feel that you are being supported and that you are so at ease and willing to place your loved one to their care. They are the only facility I have witnessed in six years that actually does a medical clearance before treating and diagnosing a patient. Again, it doesn’t stop there… Once you enter there are incredibly clean and beautifully set Hospital you are amazed at how beautiful and un- institutional their Hospital looks like. Again it doesn’t stop there… Their front desk staff such as; Jacky and Jacqueline picks up exactly where their loving intake staff left off with the tremendously high level of care that you receive from their intake department. Their house supervisor Immanuel Ponnaiya is beyond helpful and always available to answer any questions or concerns you or your loved one has. He is running a marvelously impressive staff. Scott Mize ,Van Nuys Behavioral Health Hospital ‘s liaison is always able to help you and your loved ones receive the perfect care that they need. His professionalism is impeccable! Again, it doesn’t stop there…. Their medical department is always ready to retrieve any documentation you need and turn it around to you within 24 hours, their case managers such as the one that I had the honor of working with Ms.Jasmine Montana is always just a phone a call away. She is a sweetheart. Their team of nurses and clinicians are beyond kind and beyond great at what they do! To me they are the best of the BEST! A huge and special thank you to: Lavinia, Larnie, Elaine, James, Oscar, Franco, Jenny, Anna, Jason and I could go on for days about everyone that I personally came in contact with but instead I’m going to collectively thank every single super human being that is staffed by Van Nuys Behavioral Health Hospital. I wholeheartedly thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank YOU! With great respect and gratitude, Sindy Mashiah

Southern California hospital van nuys iop program is very helpful... Emmanuel and Scott care very much about their clients.... The nurse cares about her patients... The casemanagers listen to their clients concerns... Dr. Jay and Jessica care a whole lot.... They are both great therapists... Ben is one of the best van transportation drivers and the food that we get in the iop program is very good...

I was here over 20 years ago when I was 17. I met lots of interesting characters, some of whom I remember fondly. I spent 30 days here and it was a much needed break from being in a split custody arrangement between my parents. I've since continued treating my mental health. I'm glad I came in here instead of whatever the alternative could have been.
