We're sorry to hear about that and we hope that your injury isn't too severe and that you can recover without impairment. Unfortunately, in California there is a 2 year statute of limitations (time-limit) to settle a claim or bring a lawsuit. If the potential defendant is the government, that time-limit is actually 6 months. Since the accident was 9 years ago, there isn't anything that our office or any other lawyer can do to legally help you. We just hope that your doctors can provide a good recovery. First thing I would do is contact a lawyer to find out if you have a case and to protect your legal rights since you have already been to a doctor and received medical attention.
