I love this place, I've been living in riverside for a little over a year now, I always pass by it on my way home from work. Finally went and man it exceeded my expectations, so much to see and learn, I loved the feeling of standing next to the huge airplanes and just imagine how the force of the plane must feel, or appreciation of human craftsmanship and see what we have accomplished. The people there are exceptionally nice too. Will be coming back more often now.

If you live in socal, you owe it to yourself to visit March Field Air Museum and learn some history about such an important location that's been the home to some of the most famous aircraft in history. To live so close to such a historic place, it'd be a disrespect to our veterans and currently serving men and women not to visit. One of the coolest museums that I've ever been to where you can be within breathing distance of some of these iconic aircrafts. Oh and before I forget, yes they have dessert and they serve that as soon as you walk in in the form of the SR-71 Blackbird and it is magnificent.

This place is wonderful for the family. We loved every part of the exhibit. The museum is well curated and maintained. The vets working in there are amazing and kind. We had a very good time.

This place is huge and filled with so many planes and other historical pieces. They have also simulations so you can try flying a plane or how it would feel and sound if you were in London during the Blitz. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Recommend wearing comfortable shoes since enough will be walking a lot as well as sunblock because the other half of the museum is outside. I think we spent around 2-3 hours when we came. Another tip if you wish to donate to the museum they have containers where you can put in money. There's also a gift shop here where they sell items like shirts, patches and model kits.

paul, are you a docent at the base??? Do you understand the significant " OF THE GREATEST GENERATION OF ALL TIME"???? Only a docent can understand what i am trying to convey. Please don't answer if your not a docent.
Yes i think so. Because the gift store is where you purchase your entry. Although you are on otherside of gate. Talk to someone there.

Not generaterally, however they do open plane events every now and then

Not sure they would even do that. I agree with the others. Ask the museum.
