The Brea Damn is a great place to go if you want to go hiking , or bike rising the trails ,and it is great for having a BBQ with your little dog like I do with Nicolas ( my little dog) I do this quite often . Oh be prepared to pee in the bushes though as they still have not fixed up the Mens or Women's bathrooms. Bring your toilette paper. Hot commodity.!

Didn't feel very safe even with a dog Homeless people wandering around talking to themselves. Going to give it another try but Going to enter from the bastanchury side.

I'm always there so i know this place a lot and if you smell poop its probably just you. That place smells very green there's trees that smell lovely even butterflies like it there and amazing plants everywhere and very peaceful your probably walking along someones back yard since there are plenty of white rich people that have stalls with horses and llamas close to the trail so that should answer your question (:
