First time walking across the border. It was very easy, at 11am on a weekday, there was no line. It was very easy to buy a ticket, the trolley was there, so I hopped on and am on way on the Blue Line to San Diego airport for $2.50. I got off at Santa Fe Station, walked 30 feet to the bus stop and took the bus #992 the remaining 1.9 miles.

I found it very easy to cross the border and find my way with the new entry to the left. I remember years ago I had to enter from the right hand side facing into Mexico. It was pretty easy and I was on my own. I felt safe I could immediately find a taxi after crossing the border. There are many panhandlers when you cross so the poverty is sometimes hard to see and realize!

No Booths, just multilingual computerized automated ticket machines, which also takes cash like quarters, 10, 5, 1 bills etc
Unfortunately not; there is a " Coaster" that runs from downtown San Diego to Oceanside but not to Escondido Ca.
From 4 to 5am there is no line to cross

$2.50 one way, and $6.00 for an all-day pass. Besides a card is needed for the new system that is used for the trolley, it is called SOON. You can buy the card right there in the machines and it has a cost of 2.00 dollars and later when you use it again you only recharge it.
Look up MTS for trolly directions, usual trolly stations with amtrak are old Town and Santa Fe depot. For busses there's a greyhound within the San Ysidro trolly station or downtown 12 and imperial.
You can check on sdmts.com , but I think last trolley from San Diego to San Ysidro Is at 12 am during the week and 1 am during the weekends this is base on 12th and imperial trolley station
4:45 am is the first train
Trolley starts at 4:50 am Saturdays
Depends at the hour you arrive. 15, 30, 45 or an hour when is full
I think until twelve o'clock at night
4:48am is the first one. 12:58am of the next day is the last one. Theres a 3 hour and 45 minutes window
