Best horseback riding experience ever! Been riding so many places but Smoke Tree Stables was by far the best experience we’ve ever had! The trails through the Indian canyons are beautiful, the horses are well cared for, and the staff was so nice. We will definitely be back;)

Family-run, friendly horses, capable guides, great trails. They really get you out there and riding a horse. No fast pace though.

We are a family of equestrians, and instead of collecting trinkets when we go on vacation, we collect trail rides. We only go to facilities that take immaculate care of their horses and guests and Smoke Tree Stables, by far, was the most professional and enjoyable experience we’ve ever had. The horses are all INCREDIBLY well-behaved and sure-footed, I was so impressed. I definitely recommend!

I seem to recall a 250# line. Call the stables directly to talk about it. It's a nice family-run operation, and they're easy to talk to.
Hi Robert, Thanks for reaching out. I wish I had information for you- I have never heard of the Araby stables. I know there is a property up in Araby that is known as the rock house and they were zoned for horses. You may want to contact the planning department at the City of Palm Springs. Good Luck:)
No, not safe. Palos Verdes Stables is big on safety. I worked there years ago as a horse trainer- I'm an advanced rider and also taught lessons for all levels in both English and Western, as well as working their summer camp program for kids. They are organized, safe, well- run, and very clean. Ive ridden since the age of 8, and moved around a lot, so I've seen many stables all over (east coast and california), and this stable is #1. Come and check it out!

As of March 2020, It's $120, for 1 hour 40 minute ride through Indian Canyon. Beautiful ride!
