This is my favorite "local"outdoor range. Novice trap & Advanced trap stations are excellent. There are several long ranges and short ranges for all types of firearms. A patterning station and now a 3D bow range. The sporting clays course is excellent! Highly trained staff and range masters make each experience enjoyable.

I've been to McMiller a number of times this year and really enjoy it. Some complain that they are very strict on the gun-handling, but that's a safety issue and I appreciate that they take it seriously, especially during cease-fires. Pricing on food/drink is a little expensive, but it's better than running to Eagle or Palmyra for a snack.

If you are new to the world of shooting, and you want to get some practice in a safe regulated environment, the range is top notch. Only been here twice, and even as an experienced shooter I had a good time, but felt fairly limited. Great range for beginners! But if you are an advanced shooter I recommend just getting a membership at a local club or sportsman league. The benches make zeroing a breeze, so that is very useful, however if you are looking for freedom while shooting this isn't it. ROs, cease fires at regular intervals, and chamber checks (To my AK guys, take a chamber flag, they want to see its clear) Typical stuff for a public range, with a nice outdoor environment.

State owned property, managed by others and it just keeps getting worse. Price increase and then they charge for debit/credit card use. 100yard range, you're sitting in dirt / shells and can't get your elevation correct with the 1950's shooting tables. They'll offer you a board to sit on! No more porta johns, a long trip to field house for you. Again, state owned- don't anticipate having your YOUTH shooter try with a pistol. A lot of improvements are needed. They're getting the money with the expensive range fees. Where's it going? Drive a little further to a private owned facility, concrete floors, restrooms, dining, refreshments, a lot nicer and more patient range officers and priced way better. Give Millford Hills a try- private club but have a PUBLIC range and opened more days. Good luck. Something wrong here.

Dear Mike, YES... we do have MANY rental guns available. All rental firearms are $25.00 and you must purchase the ammunition from us. If you have any other questions do not hesitate to contact us!!!
No. Most places do not allow drawing from holsters unless under supervision in a class.
Wisconsin does not require that you have a special licence to rent a firearm. However you need to be 18 to rent a rifle/shotgun and 21 to rent a pistol. Their staff is very friendly and I'm sure they would have no problem walking you through the process and teaching you how to shoot.
Due to the legislative changes for hunting, there is no minimum age for shooters as far as long guns (shotguns/rifles) are concerned. Youth shooters must be able to load, fire, clear, and maintain appropriate muzzle discipline unassisted in order to be allowed to fire. All shooters 15 and under require one-on-one adult supervision. HOWEVER, our minimum age for pistol shooters (Centerfire) is 16+. The only exception is with a .22 LR handgun which may only be used on the plinking range under the same safety guidelines.
McMiller Sports Center's days and hours fluctuate with the seasons. We are currently open Friday through Sunday from 9-4. We will begin adding weekday hours starting around April/May of 2018.
Shotgun slugs may only be fired on the regular ranges. If you would like to shoot target loads, we have a shotgun patterning range out in back of our proshop
Steel case ammo is acceptable to use on our ranges. Anything bigger or equivalent to 50 BMG is not allowed.
Yes, both are allowed. the handgun would only be allowed to be used on our 25 yard range.

Our most current pricing is under the "Pricing" tab on our website @ www.mcmillersportscenter.com. Whether or not it is "worth it" is subjective. We think it is worth it!
