Quiet and humble, it was a church, but now it's a community that's outgrowing the space. Pray or meditate during the day or attend a class. Visit the shop for special gifts or personal growth with a book or singing bowl. You can also borrow books from the library. This is a great place with wonderful teachers to introduce you to Buddhism. Very laid back yet busy in the community with outreach soup kitchen and addiction recovery group for example. So quiet they say the neighbors don't even know they're there. They manage this peaceful solitude in the middle of the city too, in Hillcrest.

Dharma bums is an amazing place for refuge and peace. The family sangha gives parents a change to meditate together and discuss and explore compassion and peace in our parenting, while loving caregivers do fun activities with our children. Highly recommend!

By financial straits, I am assuming you mean limited cas flow. Most recovery homes don't take Medical, but try McAllister. Also, the San Diego County Crisis House option is a good one for seven to ten days. It depends on the person's willingness to embrace recovery. PathFinders is a decent option (fundamental 12 step), as are Crossroads and Turning Point. These are gender specific sites...what gender is the person you seek to help? Also, there is SIP...
Yes, Sunday 10am, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7pm. Hope to see you soon.
We do not, sorry! Thank you for reaching out!
Free, no requirement to pay. This is a nonprofit organization. They accept voluntary donations.
