Went on a Friday around 11:30am and was immediately helped by a nice security guard who helped me quickly get through the kiosk questions. I came in to change my name after getting married and fully expected it to be a hassle. But I was out within 20 minutes! There was no fee, I'd completed the application online and brought it with me. I parked on the street right out front of the main entrance. I was shocked at how easy it was!

Perfect for dropping off viral paperwork completed at home. Internal security guard is wonderfully helpful & great at directing flow of international students, disabled/ interabled adults & confused applicants who know what they need but always disorganized (me!!). I've been sent this quiet Aero drive location numerous times, I always leave two steps ahead but not with exactly what I need. If you can go down to First/ Front Ave early, highly recommend....

Overall the Aero Dr staff are very good and helped me with a lot of things. Why can I say that? I've used this very office for over 15 years. Yes, there are a few "bad apples" but after going through over 2 years of HELL because the state (not SSA) issued a bogus medical report, things are fixed. Filed notice of appeal Feb 2020 and staff gave me all the proper forms. Came back the next day and appeal was all set -then came COVID. Recently, I had face to face (not phone) appointment with the Disability Hearing Officer and two days letter got the decision letter from the officer. The bogus state medical report was thrown out, the 2020 decision overturned, and no further SSI medical inquiries for the next 8 years. The COVID pandemic has screwed a lot of us over who use SSA. They are getting back on track but just try to be patient. If you are appealing a decision like I was then ask for in-person hearing rather than by phone one. I'm glad I did. It's been confusing if everything is by appointment only or walk-ins are OK. I asked if I need an appointment to bring my revised trust documents and walk ins are back. No appointment needed but try to avoid Mondays or Tuesdays after Presidents, Memorial, and Labor Days. Remember masking is mandated of everyone, both I and the Disability Hearing Officer were, so if you are high risk for COVID like me they are following common sense protocols. The parking lot is small and it's easier to street park on Afton Rd. If you can't drive or ride share is too much, bus route 25 is an option that stop at the office.

Today I went to the social security office and had a great experience. I was able to park right in front of the office (limited parking available on the premises). The security officer at the door was extremely proactive and guided me to obtain a ticket for the purpose of my visit. There were just a few people ahead of me and the wait time was just 20 mins. Once my turn came, it took just 5 mins to get everything processed and I was my way out (I submitted an online application before the visit). The SS employee who helped me was efficient in her work. Overall had a great experience and the best experience so far at an SS office. Thank you for helping today and keep up the great work!

How do I make at appointment at Aero Drive location
You were born next year?
Nope, only online.
There is no cost for SSN card replacement.
Notify social security immediately and your boss and the internal revenue
Depends if you still have other forms of IDs that DMV can accept to get a replacement ID. If not, you will need to start with replace your birth certificate, then use that birth certificate to get a replacement ID. Finally use that ID, to get a replacement SSN. If you have valid military ID or work ID, you can use that to get a replacement SSN card.
Yes, you can. If you have an online account with SSA, you can get a copy of your benefit letter too. To register, just visit www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount
I don't know how to sign up for Medicare because I did it a few years ago and I think it's different now. But it does have something to do with your social security number and where I went is the walk-in location for Social Security if you need a card or something like that. I do know a lot of things can be done online but you'd have to go online to look for that
Only on the phone
Look up the front door says it.
Yes
9am to 4pm, Mon thru Friday. They take walk-ins, and appointments.
Yes actually the have a drop off system, the security guy is awesome and he tries to help the best way possible, defenetly show up at front door, best way to go
If u print your paper work out and drop it off in a yellow envelope. They'll give u an appointment in a few days to pick up your paper work. Or u can just xall. Note, not all offices have drop box, Aero drive does
No. You need an appointment
Yes. You can either complete the forms and include all the required documents, put everything in a large envelope and drop it off (this is what I did) or you can make an appointment and bring everything in to meet with someone.
You can't do anything at this location! Or any Social Security office! They're all closed and the only way to get anything accomplished is to have an appointment! Good luck with that!
No, it's not open in person at the moment. The only way would be by doing it online or calling their office.
Depends, if you have all of the required documents, it will take from 2-5 business days
Bring at least 2 forms of proven identity. For example: Driver license, State ID, Passport, etc. When I got mine replaced it was free of charge and took about 2 weeks to come in.
Yes, you can. You can also get it online if you have a SSA online account
No, you can apply for Medicare online at www.ssa.gov
Copy of a voided check, along with your statement stating you want to change your direct deposit to the new account
You can't get your Social Security number suspended. If you received a phone called stating it was from SSA office and you need to call back due to your SSN got suspended, please hang up the phone since that is fraud. Please let your family and friends know about this. They are targeting a lot of elderly people.
SSA set an appointment to enroll in Part B. Is that wrong??? Do I go somewhere else to enroll???
Sorry you can't get a SSN card replacement at the Aero drive location. Instead you have to go to the card centers, which is at 109 W. Ash Street SD 92101, or 810 Arnele Ave. El Cajon 9202, or 700-B E. 24th street, National City 91950. Please remember to bring your current IDs with you
If you go to your local office, as soon as you get there, you have to check in at the kiosk & wait until they call your #. I think Monday's & Friday's are the busiest. Good luck!
Only if you've already established a meeting with a representative there, then they can give you a more direct line to their desk. So, initially they are all 1-800 numbers.
I'm not sure what forms specifically? You can request some forms from the representatives st the windows, after you check in at the kiosk. Also, if you have access to a computer or at the library, if you don't, you can download & print up forms that you need at www.ssa.gov
It takes around 7-10 business days to arrive.
Nope
There is function 'forget password' online to request temporary pw
You have to contact Immigration or your Postal Office, since they don't do renew passport at this office.
No
www.ssa.gov
Yes
Good question, not sure.
Uh no, only in the mail.
I like to make an appointment to help me to review my husband's social security benefit statement.
How does one make an appointment to sign up for SS retirement benefits?
No. You can walk in and take a number
Online appointment
If you already have the death certificate, then just bring it in. If not, just call over the phone to report. I'm sorry for your loss.
You have to get a form W-4V from IRS website, www.irs.gov, complete the form and mail it or drop it off to your local SSA office.
It depends on what you're coming for. You will need an appointment if you are going to apply for retirement or disability benefit. If not, then just walk in, no appointment needed.
No, you cannot do that at this Aero drive office. Instead you have to go to one of the card center, the closet one to this office is 109 West Ash St. SD CA 92101 or 810 Arnele Ave. El Cajon 92020 or 700-B East 24th St. National City 91950. No appointment needed, you have to walk in and bring your name change document and valid ID. I hope this information will help you & good luck.
How do I change where my ss check goes I don’t drive to go to ss office
What to do if you get deporterer an you are entailed to your benefit s
For your question, you don't need an appointment. You can just walk in, and ask to review your benefit estimates
No
No, you don't need an appt for that. They actually have an express slot in the lobby, you can just drop it in there. No need to pull a ticket & wait.
Mr. Benton, I suggest you to visit your local SSA office, they can help you resolve the problem. Don't forget to bring your current ID, and any documents that prove your identity. Good luck sir!
If you want SSA to deduct federal taxes from your retirement, you can visit www.irs.gov, download form W-4V, complete the form and drop it off or mail it to your local SSA office.
This location doesn't not process SSN card application. You have to go to Social Security Card Center. The closest one is 109 West Ash St. San Diego, CA 92101. However if you go there, you'll have to pay for parking. You can also go to 810 Arnele Ave. El Cajon, CA 92020 (which has free parking. Wherever you decided to go, just make sure you have proper ID (unexpired CA Driver License, ID, U.S. passport). Hope this helps.
Mrs. Saracho, there are other factors to determine if you can qualify for benefit under your ex-husband, for example: how long did you marry to your ex-husband & how old are you, etc... I would advised you to visit your local SSA office and bring proof of marriage, divorce, and death certificate. Your local SSA should be able to help you.
