My mother in law has just moved out of here and she couldn't be happier to escape the tyranny that "manages" the park. If you've ever met one of these people who gets any inkling of power and suddenly thinks they are important, then you know the kind of person you'll be dealing with in the manager of "The Woods" in Mira Mesa. The number of ridiculously silly things this "manager" complained about while my MIL was there is just absurd. From friends visiting briefly (<30 mins) "without permission" to what kind of dogs are allowed to be in a car if someone is dropping something off. It got worse when it was time to sell. The "manager" made it very difficult on both the seller and the buyer with ridiculous notions that a son could not purchase for his mother stating, "the resident themselves must prove the income, not a family member." Mmmmkay, well this is senior living community...meaning many residents are retired...meaning their families are assisting them...as is and has been very common for a long time. The "manager" would not even use a friendly tone whilst making life more difficult. This is a person to avoid at all costs. Very toxic. We are very glad we will no longer have to deal with this insecure tyrant again. Her neighbors were awesome and she will miss the friendships she made there because the residents are all great! It's just too bad they all have to deal with that tyrannical "manager".

Nice looking place Our aunt lived here many years and made some nice friends, but when she was taken to the hospital in an ambulance seriously ill nobody from the office called us, her next of kin. Which they are expected to do.
