This place is amazing!! Great trails and very quiet. Happy that is only 7 minutes away from Wake Forest! A must for anyone who lives in the area and loves outdoors!

Nice area to take a walk or jog along the dam. But not my favorite place if you're looking for calm, serene outdoor relaxation. It was a bit too crowded, and not necessarily safe to walk on the dam because of the traffic and narrow space for cars and pedestrians to be shared. Also no shade. But it was great to walk down to the rocks on the water and sit down for a bit. Going out on a boat must be nice, we saw many of them on the lake.

Prob will only catch white bass if fly fishing. Gotta go to mountains to have good fly fishing.

The gate close at 5:30. But you can park at the front lot and walk to the pier or dam.
