We met the sweet owners of Sunset Slush while dining last night in OIB and they gave us a card to try it out. From the moment we walked in to the store until we left we were treated like family from the staff. They were so good with our toddler letting him try flavors and making recommendations. The Italian Ice was DELICIOUS! The Blue Vanilla was such a unique and refreshing flavor. It’s local places like this with incredible owners and staff that make OIB such a special place. We will be back!

So we are addicted to these now! We stopped in to Sunset Slush for Italian Ice and Gelati one day on our OIB vacation and went back every day after that. Every flavor we had was awesome - definitely recommend the Blue Vanilla ice and Coconut Cream ice with vanilla ice cream. Kids loved the nerdy combo. Cupcake ice is also good by itself or paired with Iced Coffee ice. PRO TIP - go inside! Everyone lines up at the outside window, but inside there is never a line. The outside line will be to the curb, but inside was never busy. I think people don't know they can go in to order. You can also sample any flavor you want.

To be completely honest. I get Sunset Slush almost twice a day while on vacation! It is great and I believe the prices are reasonable! If you have gone on vacation to any of the beaches in Brunswick County, NC, you MUST try this italian ice because it is like no other!
