Mr. Austin the leasing consultant, is helpful and nice up until the very moment you sign your lease and give him your money. After that, good luck getting any type of help or even a good attitude from him for that matter. Very disappointed in the way I heard him talk to my mom over the phone today and the way he’s been talking to my roommate anytime they’ve needed help or had a question. Don’t be a leasing consultant if you’re not willing to consult. It’s only been 2 days with Cypress and I already can’t wait to get the hell out. To anyone reading this thinking about moving in with Cypress, save yourself the stress and disrespect and DON’T.

I wouldn’t even know where to begin with my review about this place. From the day I moved in I couldn’t wait to move out! The day I moved in there was 5-10 maintenance things that needed to be completed and a deep cleaning which I had to do. The apartments are outdated, you’ll see bugs every day even after pest control comes, the leasing staff rotates through people so often you can’t keep up and the ones that have been there for a while are rude and couldn’t care less about what you were saying. The maintenance guys are okay they will fix things in a timely fashion but most of the things I had fixed while I lived there broke again. I had a light fixture fall on my head once and after it was “fixed” it fell again a week later. My AC went out 3-4 times while living here and because they didn’t get there in time I had to stay a hotel twice due to the heat. They also don’t check the parking and visitors will park right out front of your apartment. Don’t live here unless you want to deal with all of these issues.

My wife and I have been living here for almost a month now and it has been a great experience so far! We toured a lot of apartments around Wilmington with little success before finally finding Cypress Pointe. From the beginning the staff here has been phenomenal and incredibly responsive to my many, many questions! The community is in a great spot right in the heart of Wilmington but it is tucked back away from everything so it is nice and quiet. We are super close to just about anything we could want or need and Wrightsville Beach is only a 15 minute drive away. We are so close to things in fact that we have been able to walk or bike to lots of different places which has been great with the high gas prices lately. Our unit is slightly smaller than the last one we lived in but the layout makes it actually seem a lot larger. The amenities here are fantastic as well. My wife and I have made frequent use of the gym on site which is something we never did at our last place. Most importantly though, Cypress Pointe is pet friendly which was a huge requirement for us. Our dog Tucker loves his new home just as much as we do!

worst place i've ever lived. had water in leaks in both the 1 bedroom and the 2 bedroom that i lived in that took way to long to be fixed. had to call corporate to actually get things done. rude and unhelpful office staff. very happy to have moved out.

Questions & Answers

So my roomate and I are moving in tomorrow and I was just wondering if both of us need to have a separate renters insurance or one should work.

You technically only need one. I'm not sure if it would be worth the peace of mind and control to each have your own for covering your personal belongings? Note: Cypress Points automatic insurance only covers the property and not your items. Make sure to show them proof of your own insurance to waive it from your rent.
